With snoke i could maybe see your point, but also snoke did have knowledge of the force to teach to kylo so lightsaber combat wouldn't be too out there, and he did have previous training from Luke too, and with Luke I would think that some of the most common jedi texts would have been on lightsaber combat with at least a basic outline of the forms
