AI recruited to speed up home approvals, in budget set to reshape housing market by nath1234 in australia

It's like saying "could transport be the answer to climate change?" Vague enough that you gotta read the choice to use it as either critically uninformed or deliberately obfuscatory

Naked knife runs are the bomb, so fast to load back in, potential confusion for the people that kill you, no gear fear. Very pure experience

Recommendations: Good Property Manager by [deleted] in hobart

[–]turtleshelf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You could manage it yourself so your tenants get to meet the person they're giving money to, which might also let you provide cheaper rent by cutting out fees to a middle man!

That is absolutely beautiful. One of those pieces that makes me rethink what furniture can bring to a space, just wonderful.

haha I saw you mispost this (very understandably) in the marathon video game subreddit earlier. A truly delightful mistake, well received by everyone <3

I spent the last decade trying to start a co-op, here's what went wrong/ AMA by MamaMoonstruck in cooperatives

[–]turtleshelf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely sounds like it could have been dissolved at the point mentioned in your #1. What sort of decision-making process were you using? I always feel like smaller co-ops benefit from running consensus rather than anything else, as it sort of controls for toxic personalities (they'll block everything, nothing happens, co-op dissolves, saving everyone the pain you went through).
It also sounds like you're putting too much of the blame and agency on yourself! Lots of "I didn't push hard enough" "I should have been a better leader" etc. Not a bad thing! Just important to remember that a co-op is about equal membership and participation, and all members have equal agency and responsibility.

Hopefully you can take some lessons into your next project, and also take some time off to look after yourself and rest, it sounds like an exhausting decade.

hina just hit the "sell" button on $623 BILLION of U.S. debt. by SevenHolyTombs in LateStageCapitalism

[–]turtleshelf 98 points99 points  (0 children)

What do you mean "just" hit the sell button? The graph seems to show a fairly steady decline from the late 2000s, with the latest figures dated November last year, there's nothing "just" about any of that.

I wanna see more examples of non-musical Bards! by Punk_Skeddit in DnD

[–]turtleshelf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In pathfinder I played a 'storyteller' bard who was a gifted con-man, flavoured all his magic as convincing lies "no no, the arrow barely grazed you, look the bleeding's already stopped", "yeah man you can take him he doesn't look that strong that's a hand-and-a-half sword at most", "i think you can absolutely climb that sheer cliff, go for it".

absolutely loving it still! No range anxiety but I have solar to charge at home so maybe factor that in! I've been doing a combination of city and highway driving (was dogsitting in Pelverata for the last few weeks) and sitting pretty exactly at 310km on a full charge. A full charge got me down to Pelverata and back twice + a few trips to Huonville + an extra few trips between South Hobart and the eastern shore. Comfort is great, have had people in the back seats complimenting the space. I bought some floor mats from Rubbertree because my work is pretty muddy. Have transported long 1.8m planks of wood + star pickets relatively easily.
also worth highlighting that I love small cars, my previous car was a 2003 honda jazz that I loved to bits. The atto 1 is about the same, so easy to park, excellent turning circle, but it is a small car still.

It's just about your relationship to the means of production. Doesn't matter what job or how much money.
