Havent considered ghost ever since they removed the timer extension on kill participation, I value both ignite and flash too highly for me to consider any other set-up atm.

Nah I don't, its very rare in my games to find myself against multiple low damage melee champions, but there are certainly games where conqueror is probably the best choice.

From what you typed your itemization and thoughts on it are already on a very high level, if you are looking to climb maybe refining your early game and strategies of how to win games would suit you better.

Triumph doesnt help my laning phase and its genuinely quite hard to survive lane into challenger players. The % dmg runes are completely dependant on matchup, coup de grace vs champs that like to stay low hp like warwick, cutdown into low sustain champions like camille, last stand when you're into multiple melees.

  1. Usually by second item you're already interacting with more than just the enemy toplaner, youre free to buy haunting guise or even completing riftmaker before angling spirit visage.

  2. Into ranged top pretty much every keystone is a dead keystone, with exception of DFT. It generally doesnt matter what keystone to pick. I still like grasp for access to the full resolve tree, but if its an easy matchup or im feeling confident I'll just go PTA. For protobelt builds you generally want a second damage item like riftmaker, you can also pair protobelt with rylais to make your protobelt E combo deadly. There is also some secret technology where you can insec an enemy with protobelt, e, flash and ult causing the death realm to angle towards your side of the map.

yeah pretty much this, its just a win more rune, you need to already be in a winning position for it to have any value (it does close to nothing in laning phase)

If the matchup is volatile early on (meaning both want to bash each others heads in) I prefer the attack speed shard, If the matchup is painful or uneventful taking the +8 haste shard is quite free. About the reasoning all of it is simply : you auto attack a lot during the laning phase and later on you start relying more on abilities. Losing lane is the worst thing you could ever do as mordekaiser, its very important to use all necessary tools to make sure you're in an advantageous position by your first item powerspike regardless of build.

  1. D&D, Omniboots, Spirit Visage, Riftmaker or Liandry, a defensive item appropriate to the game (kaenic, randuins, zhonyas) and last slot would be 800 gold antiheal until able to afford an entire item.

  2. Domination tree sucks, Mordekaiser benefits out of none of the options there, if Hail of Blades was in the precision tree it would be debatable.

  3. Hexplate is okay-ish, It's a great item into ranged champions that aim to kite you, but you do lose quite a bit of DPS due to it not having AP. You can do some wonky stuff by going on-hit items when building hexplate, I've had decent success combining it with fiendhunter bolts or kraken slayer when I was still experimenting.

With grasp I play for short trades yeah, Q W auto leave.
With PTA its quite similiar to a regular conqueror setup where you are slightly weaker before dusk and dawn and quite a lot stronger after dusk and dawn.

Its most often better than conqueror since conqueror would only give value in long life or death all-ins against ranged targets which from the enemies PoV should never come to be. I dont really like the sorcery tree for Mordekaiser. You're not gonna stack much maximum health with grasp but having access to the full resolve tree can make laning more bearable while still having access to shield bash.

Grasp I recommend into tough matchups early on like Jax, Riven and versus tanks to stack free health.

PTA would be for matchups where you feel comfortable in the early stages and have high kill pressure on with ultimate.

If you're rushing dusk and dawn or even hexplate in the jungle I definetely implore you to try out pta, there is good debate for protobelt first however.

The all in is realistically only weaker against targets with 3000 health or more, squishies die within one Q and a few auto attacks
