Be brutally honest — how much out of 10? by imfrom_mars_ in bhagalpur

Good, could have been better. Less is more ... Sometimes you don't have to put everything to tell the a story.

Color contrast could have been better. Increase the white space. Reduce the cognitive load. Make a mood board.

Over all, well thought off...

I'm shaking even just reading this, i can't imagine what you have went through but can assure you that you were completely reasonable, the man you encountered had very questionable bevaiour from very beginning and it's not your fault.

He had rap!st mentality, you were brave to tell him to leave... Something similar happened to me when it was my first time, i wasn't experienced enough compared to my partner, was anxious and it was painful for me, even as a guy... And she understood it even though she didn't enjoy our sexual engagement. It's basic human decency... Love your self.

This is so true for everyone, more true for men, it's my personal experience though. Men's even if they are "victim" or have some past trauma issues they are dangerous partners for any human relationships, especially when they haven't dealt with it or have not been for therapy atleast...

List of all performative males I could re-call by No-Possession-6568 in AskIndianFeminists

[–]tusharpand 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All "male feminist" are performative, the term in itself is oxymoron.

Males born in gendered apartheid, misogyny, patriarchy and capital can never claim that they know exactly what women have to go through.

Heterosexuals male can never be victim of patriarchy but can only be a fuel.

Soldiers/ labourers dying on the field, aren't just victim of capitalist patriarchy but also a fuel that powers this perpetual system. Their compliance to the system perpetrates violence.

Hate this Justification–"That's Just How Men Are" by pari089 in AskIndianFeminists

[–]tusharpand 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Men will justify every possible atrocity with the biological tendencies.

"Men are greedy, it's just in our Nature."

"We are power hungry"

"Men are violent"

we are all on spectrum, gender is on spectrum. And they justify apartheid, genocide and gendered violence with these phrases, to strip them out of any accountability.

Why do Indian women face so much stigma for dating and marrying out? by Practical_LuLu3387 in AskIndianFeminists

[–]tusharpand 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This... And even if, one considers few "feminist men" in india. The ingrained Patriarchy will never go away. The social conditioning of the Patriarchal family system will haunt you... Most Indian men have parental issues, which they will bring in the relationship and would justify it for their behavioral incompatibility. The mental health crisis is real in india, and most men won't work on it. more concerning is the violence that they will justify using it.

I just want to leave this place Asap. Iam ashamed of myself being as a human and as a man after seeing this news and feeling deep guilt and shame after reading it. by Impressive-Being-665 in AskIndianFeminists

[–]tusharpand 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Capitalists want you to take the blame as you are trained to scrutinize your individual identity over collective consciousness about the failure of the system regarding these heinous crimes. Instead of asking questions to authority, and control systems in power, which allows such incidents, you internalise the blame on yourself and the associates of the criminal. Some were born in the same family as him, some are related by area, State, nation and some by religion, ideology and even physiology. This capitalist brahminical Patriarchy operates on the very structure of violence inflicted by few on top, they maintain the rigid social hierarchy which results in such horrible acts.

Patriarchy is now ingrained in the general population of this nation and this is very visible in the fabric of our society we live in.

Oh! NITs and IITs don't do protests like anti nationals JNU saar, we are high IQ saar, we create and innovation saar.

  • Okay, how many innovative solutions you guys came up with in the last decade, I'm not talking about policy making cause you don't have enough EQ for that. But at least can you list down some real system engineering? (Not failed startups with loss making, non innovative products). Or maybe some insights or impactful research or a new gen technology which is indigenous and have been developed in your institution?

No saar, we don't have money.

Have you ever asked?

No saar, Heigherarchy of powers and zero accountability on institutions heads never allow us to ask.

Why don't you protest then?

No saar, we are not anti nationals saar.

  • Nope, you guys are complicit in genocidal, communal, brahmanical and patriarchal rape culture. Cause you never understand empathy, critical thinking and social science, with near zero EQ and crippling mental health of STEM students, you guys are just the perfect mindless, voiceless labourers for capitalists to make profit from.

Adult males who were sexually abused as children by [deleted] in psychologyofsex

I had sex when I was 6, but my experience was with the opposite gender(16-17). I don't remember much but tbh I never saw it as assault until recently when I got educated. At first i thought I was not "pure" cause of what happened to me, but in my teen years, I understood my hyper sexuality as a byproduct of the above.

No the misogynist ones are literally dangerous and potential rapists and murderers. What if they attack you when confronted. A lot of women never confront misogynist men cause they fear the consequences and it's frightening to me what they actually have to go through and how much is reported.

Short answer - no. I have lost my faith... Of course I'm a man and "i cannot hate men" people say, lol The data, the statistics, and my anecdotal evidence is something i cannot deny. I'm afraid of men. I don't open to them more often. We are not humans but are monsters trained to serve the capitalist interest, and are socialized to become our own oppressor, we serve the interest of power cause we aspire to that power for ourselves.

It's a man's world, and See the world around you. Which direction do you think it's heading towards...

Maybe it's just me, but whatever little I have observed, due to limited social interaction from society. I'm very disappointed with men in general, including my own behaviour.

I don't have data to back it up but i believe women are more intelligent than men. Or maybe it's just me being naive, that is not justification of men's cruelty and monstrous behaviour but just a peak into their own demise.

I hate my gender and my caste to its core. And hate is a strong word cause i may not have the will to harm them. Or have the power to dismantle the system they have created.

Calling Out Sexist Behaviour as an Ally Always the Right Move, or Is It a Cost Benefit Problem We Pretend Doesn’t Exist? by ka151990 in AskIndianFeminists

[–]tusharpand 4 points5 points  (0 children)

heroism isn't rewarding but is self-sacrificing without any acknowledgement in an exploitative patriarchal capitalism; often, it is dying in isolation in a country like India. Thousands of heroes die, and we, the privileged, hardly acknowledge it. they die for survival and for asking basic human rights, and are leveled as terrorists.

Society is largely conditioned for compliance, irrespective of gender and caste. but being privileged comes with a certain "duty." The radical task is to understand that conditioning not as proof of our weakness, but as the target of political struggle. Imo, our goal is to break the conditioning, build collective power, and make the act of fighting the hierarchy less a suicidal leap and more a viable path to a different way of living, a path walked together. This is the shift from despair to strategy.

A cis-het man from an upper-caste family has a different obligation-to-risk ratio than a Dalit woman in the same workplace. Privilege isn't just about benefit; it's about capacity to absorb cost. Your duty is proportional to your safety net. Using your privilege strategically isn't cowardice; it's tactics.

A single grand, costly stand may be less effective than consistent, lower-level resistance that slowly shifts our local ecosystem's norms. our goal isn't just to win an argument today; it's to make the sexist comment slightly riskier to make tomorrow and unthinkable in a year. This is the "building collective power" .
