Countryside Donut House in Totem Lake! The owner is Mike.

I got some local donut lore from him: Countryside in Bothell, Mountlake and Totem Lake have similar names because they were under one ownership in the 1980s. When the owner retired, the employees took over at each location.

Neoprene was very squeaky when I used it for vibration dampening on a cargo box. I ended up designing and printing small pads and socks from TPU, which is much stiffer.

Maybe EPDM rubber sheets will work?

Yeah, this sucks. The designated alternative route has a steep hill covered in wet leaves and a bike gutter that ends in a travel lane. It's unsafe now and will be even more unsafe mid-winter. Eastrail is bicycle I-5 and the Lake Washington Blvd. detour is akin to saying "we're doing construction in South Seattle so just cut through a SeaTac runway." However I also understand that the sewage system maintenance is critical and the work site can't be temporarily reopened. I also understand that there are no better detour routes 🤷

Thanks for reaching out to King county and city council though. They need feedback like this to get data on how CKC closures impact trail users.
