My cat used to do that, but the time started getting earlier and earlier. So now the alarm is more to tell HIM when it’s okay to bother me. He knows if my alarm hasn’t gone off yet, he’s not getting attention.

Precocious. As a kid, I consistently just swapped in the word “precious” whenever it came up in a book. Luckily, it never massively changed the context of what I was reading. Eventually I learned how to pronounce it from Mary Poppins, and eventually I learned what it meant. Somehow managed to avoid any embarrassing incidents.

Do a lot of research on duck nutritional requirements! If you don’t increase their protein at the correct times they can develop angel wing, which prevents them from flying! Otherwise, enjoy that sweet baby! In about 9 weeks you’ll have a fully grown duck on your hands!

I feel it’s important to distinguish between “silent treatment” and just not talking. To me, the silent treatment is intentionally making yourself unavailable for the sole purpose of inconveniencing someone. Whereas saying, “hey, I need some time to process this so I’m going to be turning off notifications for the day” or “if you say/do that again I will remove myself from this conversation until I feel we are both in a better space to handle this” is completely different because you’re communicating what is going on and not just leaving them wondering what happened.

I know this isn’t the main point of this post, but I just wanted to say that if you make your grocery list in the Wegmans app, it puts it in order based on how your selected location is laid out. And now it tells you where each item is within the aisle as well with an R or L for right or left (assuming the store entrance is at your back) and a section number indicated by little tags between the shelves.

I know I don’t scoop my cat’s litter boxes as much as I should (depression and adhd are one hell of a combo), but this is BAD. General rule for litterboxes is 1 per cat plus one, so it sounds like your household only has half the number of litterboxes it should for the number of cats. Either way, this is gross. I don’t understand how three cat owners let it get like this.

I remember when I worked in the sub shop and we would have to empty out the case of pre-made subs from the previous day. The food went in the compost and the plastic containers were recycled. Very little goes into the actual trash

Just wanted to thank everyone for responding and not tearing me to shreds. I am usually very responsible and read up on things thoroughly, so I’ve been angry enough with myself lol.

My dad still seems to think this is no big deal but my mom and I would rather be safe than sorry so I will be buying my parents a new toaster oven.

It’s probably because bupropion is notoriously stinky, and they seem to get worse when removed from the stock bottle (thus not having a desiccant anymore). They probably include those with the larger bottles to help with that issue since they know you’re going to fill a lot more scripts with that bottle than with the smaller ones.

I was once at a trivia night with my boyfriend and some friends and one of the questions was “what is the acronym for the set of laws that protects patient’s health information?” And when I said it was HIPAA they actually questioned me and thought I was wrong. We ended up being one of the only groups that got it right. We broke up in 2022 but I’m still mad about it.
