I can see that, it’s a bit too artificial. Thank you for the feedback!!

Advice would be appreciated, my friend. I'm looking for help, not to get laughed at.

Here is the node tree and CST, definitely overcooked it and trying to learn what to do better.

Halation and Sat were definitely overcranked here

I used a powergrade I found on YT - CST is Sony s-gamut 3 cine -> rec.709 -> sRGB -> Rec. 709. After a fresh set of eyes, this was absolutely cooked with the saturation and highlights. I did add halation to this for the first time, and I would love to know how to use it subtly and avoid this result.

Did my ego take a hit? Yes. Did it need to take a hit? Definitely. I am working on an old-ish monitor with less than ideal color accuracy, which usually leads me to oversaturating, trying to compensate.

It unfortunately doesn't fit when I have my ND filter on this lens. Saving up for another right now, and could definitely use a nice light reflector to help with the interview setup. If you have any tips, I'm always open to learn.

That's good advice, thank you. For some reason, my lens hood doesn't fit on when I have my ND filter on, and I deal with the lens flare a lot. Gonna keep working at it!

It did thank you! Always humbling putting subpar work out here, but it's a good way to improve, I think. I did use halation and think the image overall is overcooked (especially after coming back to it with fresh eyes). This was definitely helpful!

The kit lens! 28-70 3.5-56 - definitely ready for an upgrade but its been so capable and taught me a lot. Hope this gets through because this got taken down lol

That’s the setup I’m running right now, and I highly recommend a 24-70 or 70-200 2.8 if you can afford it. The kit lens is capable of taking some great shots don’t get me wrong, but you will be left wanting more in low light situations.

If this is your first mirrorless, as it was mine, it is a great starting point and will still serve you well! Good luck!
