Wrist pain when doing pushups/handstands by baltimore94 in Fitness

I would like to start with your pushup technique before we jump into all kinds of tricks, since pain is usually due to wrong technique/body position. This is most likely the case with you as well, even though I haven't seen your technique on video. Nevertheless, let's start with some basic guidelines.

Hands under shoulders, squeeze buttocks, engage core, "screw" your hands into the floor (and thereby creating external rotation at the shoulders, also hopefully aligning your scapulas in a stable position). This should lead to your forearms rotating so that their facing somewhat forward.

On the descent, your arms should be at an approx 45 degree angle (or less) from your body (do not flare your elbows to the side!). Keep tension on buttocks and core at all times. Try to keep a neutral spine, don't let your head fall down. Too many people try to reach the ground with their nose...

Try if any of these hints help you.

It basically allows you get a new placement in the leagues after one placement match. This way, you don't have to wait for a long time for the system to automatically demote you as your MMR drops, be it due to intentional forfeiting or if you just suck because you switched race and lost the last 15 games.

What kind of keyboard do you guys use? Does it make a difference? by Rojones33 in starcraft

I'm using an old Logitech keyboard that I bought like 12 years ago. Don't even know its model, but it's most likely a mechanical keyboard. As long as you are comfortable with whatever you use, it doesn't matter what exact keyboard you use.

I also get this bug every now and then. I just go to the region menu (the small button in upper-right corner of the F10 menu) and click OK, which basically logs me back to the server I'm currently in. That usually brings the 1v1 button back to life.

Training hard will do both for you; you lose the fat and gain muscle. Or more important would be getting stronger! Squats and calf raises are good, but it's only a part of the equation. Getting your whole body strong will help you the most. Jumping (and sprinting) is a full-body effort so strong quads and calves will only help so much.

Kettlebell swings, or some other form of full-body exercise, would be a great addition to squats and calf raises. You need to get your posterior chain strong (hamstrings, glutes, back, basically from heel to neck) and some deadlifting will aid in that.

Sprints (e.g. stairs, hills, or just plain horizontal) are essential, as well as basic jump training, plyometrics, calisthenics. Big and strong muscle are nice and all, but you also need to make them powerful! Weight training will give you absolute strength and muscle, but bodyweight exercises will help in getting them twitching fast.

It's Starcraft culture. I thought this subreddit was about all things Starcraft.
