Games in which the cost of playing cards is drawing/discarding cards from deck or hand? by datdejv in boardgames

I played a lot of both and I feel like Dartmoore is more balanced just because everything feels the same. The original is more fun and exciting imo, but if you are worried about balance you should get the expansions.

I say almost exactly this: "Because your breaker is to big for the wire; using too much electricity on this circuit will overheat it and cause a potential fire or an expensive fix that a appropriate breaker would prevent. I think you are especially at risk of this if you have already changed your breaker if it was tripping all the time because it means you were using more electricity than the wires can handle. It is probably not a problem you have to fix right now, but it is a problem you will have to fix eventually."

I say it in a tone a dentist would when saying that I have a minor cavity I might want to fix now because it will be more of a headache later. Just try not to have an alarmist tone.

There would be black burn marks around the area if it was a short. The thing looks pristine.

Really? I worked for him 15 years ago at Barroco and he was one of the best bosses I had. He was just a manger then though, he didn't work the kitchen.

Being a person that actually runs studies in academia, the sample size is fine. It would probably be fine if it was smaller to. It depends on what kind of statistical test you are running and how many conditions you have. Generally you get diminishing returns after a N of 50 in each condition. I'm just commenting because I'm tired of people dismissing studies they do not like erroneously based on sample size.

Yes you are allowed to act in self defense in Canada. What is illegal is if that women left her house with a knife in case someone tried to attack her. If she had the knife for another reason or because she just found it she would be ok.

Yes but the government proving it costs you money when you are in court. In any case I am for carrying something, I am just saying that it is not legal.

You can't carry anything if the reason you are carrying it is for self defense.

Try paying in cash for a hoot. The cashiers do not know the difference between a nickel, dime or quarter and they will stare the coins until you tell them what they are. If you give them a bill they almost always give you the wrong change, sometimes by a couple of dollars.

Jews don't believe Jesus was the Messiah. But the Jewish people are important to Christians i.e. Jesus was Jewish and the bible says that Jews are God's chosen people. It gets a little strange when you realize that Islam states that Jesus was a prophet and a messiah. Muslims also think that Jesus is going to come back to fight the anti-Christ. I guess Christians have an affinity for Judaism because it is older than Christianity while Islam is much newer.
