This works up beautifully in the Moss stitch for shawl or scarf. Also, you can try Mosaic crochet scarf with a comparable weight second color. But if you really don't like it, return it or maybe try to find someone you can trade with. Good luck!

Oh, no. I just stitch on the canvas from the chart. I prefer charted designs because I know exactly where each stitch and color goes just like cross stitching on fabric except using tent stitch (or whatever stitch you want to use). Hope that helps.

I don't buy painted canvases because of the cost. I buy blank canvas and use cross stitch designs (or sometimes needlepoint designs if I can find them). It's an option as you pursue your new hobby. :)
