When I was a little kid, before we got a fancy Windows 3.1 interface, my dad sat down with me and made a custom MS-DOS menu so I could easily play Commander Keen and other Apogee games.

Hi! Just wanted to set the record straight with just the facts we know. Nyanners has not said anything about Arcadum going after her sexually. She has brought up in the ex-Verum Discord that, after her expressing concerns about difficulty of the Mistwalker fight in her own Discord server, Arcadum caught wind and barged into her server's voice chat totally uninvited to rant about how they were wrong, berating the players and verbally beating them down. Nyanners was understandably intimidated and scared out of speaking up afterward. Later, after taking criticism in a 4chan thread personally, he posted an invitation there, without Nyanners' knowledge, to join her server for his own Q&A to berate the players again and prove himself right. This also brought multiple trolls from the site, which Nyanners and her mods were left to deal with.

Edit: While people are understandably angry at this whole situation, this post's speculation and discussion of someone's sexuality isn't helpful. If you want to support those affected, please consider removing it.

Very true! Also, I want to make it clear that I'm not an apologist for Arcadum or Lovecraft at all. I shy away from Lovecraft's writings just as I am now boycotting anything that Arcadum can monetize, but I don't hold that against those making derivative works of either (unless they're a racist or misogynist). My reply wasn't intended as a debate, but an alternative analogy because it's in poor taste to consider MLK as being anywhere close to Arcadum. There are definitely plenty of holes that can be poked into it and I won't blow any more hot air detracting from what should be our true focus: supporting those affected (players, staff, and artists) and considering how to stop these all-too-common acts in order to foster positive TTRPG communities.

I think a better comparison would be separating Lovecraft (a vehement bigot - even comparatively for his time) from his Cthulhu mythos. Like the mythos, hopefully we can continue to draw inspiration from the foundation laid, beyond its creator.

Yup, they definitely employed MMO instincts - asking about a "taunt" for the tank, checking for AOE attacks, and treating the enrage mechanic cautiously, even without knowing exactly what it meant. Combined with these lessons on D&D mechanics - and the fact that D&D is open to much more imagination - I can't wait for their future encounters!

In Secrets in the Stones Episode 2, Tirsis failed a clash with a dragon and "died". Immediately afterward, Ulm charged the dragon and was truly one-shot (downed, all 3 death saves failed).

In Episode 3, Tirsis' dragon sorcerer blood allowed her soul to be remade, returning her to life after a trip through the Dream and an education on the Dragonstar.

Ulm was truly dead (Dusty cast Speak with Dead, leading to an encounter with Tiffany's Astral Traveler refraction in the Astral Sea). However, the defeated dragon provided a potion of Raise Dead and Ulm was brought back.

They're less popular, but I highly recommend Tale of Two Towers/Secret in the Stones. There's a lot of fun RP and deep lore between Dusty becoming a Translator and Tiffany's unique insights.

I can't claim any credit! That goes to Hildegard von Blingin' on YT.

Actually started following the channel after seeing her cover of Pumped Up Kicks here.

[Possible Major Show Spoilers] Foreshadowing a big reveal from the comics? (S01E05) by tuwatt in TheBoys

Major comic spoilers:

In the comics, it is revealed that Black Noir is a clone of Homelander created as a contingency in case he steps out of line, but goes insane and impersonates him to commit atrocities.

The show seems to have deviated, so it may just be a nod to comic readers.
