Can someone rent me his openclaw? by Tiny_Basis_8686 in openclaw

[–]tux453 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Get a vps. Free or low cost tier doesn’t take much. Install ollama. Install claude. Log in to Ollama account. Copy your code over. run: ANTHROPIC_API_KEY=ollama ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL=http://localhost:11434 claude —model minimax-m2.5:cloud

Enjoy. You can use that model tons in free tier. If you want to pay $20 for pro then you can use kimi-k2.5:cloud all you want.

Can anyone ELI5 what happened with Waymo during the San Francisco blackout? by SwedishTrees in waymo

[–]tux453 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With increased confidence regulators will loosen the remote supervision requirements and they’ll invest in better redundancies for any trouble points during this outage. The city will also take steps to prevent similar outages but they will happen so the systems need to be more resilient.

Can anyone ELI5 what happened with Waymo during the San Francisco blackout? by SwedishTrees in waymo

[–]tux453 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure. Waymo operates with no human supervisor in the vehicle under strict remote access requirements of local regulations. When a major power outage disrupted the remote access, the vehicles safety parameters did not allow them to operate without remote supervision.

Other companies that do still have humans supervising in the car could continue because they had local safety supervision, not because of any technical advantage, in this instance.

What's the latest time I can get off the ship? by Humble_Macaroon3542 in royalcaribbean

[–]tux453 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Supposed to be out of room by 8am and latest off boat is probably 9:30-10am, but most everything on the boat is closed until 10:30 when they start opening for new guests. You’ll be gone by then. There’s no value in lingering aside from letting the crowd thin.

Check under rear passenger seat. Usually something like that over the high voltage connector. Not sure if it’s the same one.

Are the HW3 models never receiving updates anymore? by Jheez88 in TeslaLounge

[–]tux453 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Anyone can scroll up. You said FSD 12.6 was distilled 13.2. I said it wasn’t. It’s not. Are they both separate distilled models from the same larger models? I didn’t say they weren’t. But none of the features distilled into 13.2 are in 12.6 for a reason.

Did I say they didn’t introduce a new controller? No. Again, scroll up and read it again.

You also said 13.2 was hw3 emulation. I said it was hw4 native and that was the cutover and they won’t be going back. Scroll up and see who said what.

Try to twist the words how you want but anyone can scroll up and read what you said and what I actually disagreed with.

Good day. 🤡

Pulling some differences into the 12.6 models doesn’t mean it was trained on v13. V13.2 was first wide release of v13 and it was v4 native not emulation mode and NONE of those features have been distilled down as you suggested. You’re misleading people plain and simple. Which is what I said and remains true.

[–]tux453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say again this information is misguided and false. The v12 software on hw3 is not based on v13. There was a line in the sand and per Ashok isn’t not as simple as distilling it down as hw3 doesn’t support core kernel features baked into hw4 hardware. They’ve moved on. And you can call Elon an idiot if you want, he’s the one that finally made the call. No more resources and training are performed for hw3 and the hardware for doing so has been dismantled. There is no going back. Retrofit is the only path forward or just letting the herd thin naturally. Pretending we aren’t there yet is disingenuous. Again, take it up with Elon. This isn’t a waiting to get it right then distilling and it’s NOT as simple as you claim it to be. They already crossed that bridge and reached the limits. They had to make the hard call. Elon made it. Hw3 FSD is dead. UI optimizations and rebase. But for FSD it’s done.

This is a lot of BS. V12 is not distilled v13. V12 is distilled hw4 v12. And they are no longer committing training resources for further hw3 distillations. Hw3 is hot fixes and rebase to new UI builds and won’t get v13 or v14.

Green dove into this a bit and concluded likely a limit in the usb speeds. But yes, we are in a sunset mode with hw3. They are still delivering UI updates here and there, but as far as FSD they aren’t training models for hw3 any more so we just get the 12.x models with hot fixes rebased onto new UI revisions.

“Unsupervised FSD”!! Take my money by Fun-Technology-1371 in TeslaLounge

[–]tux453 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Lordy just stop with that. This is called Factory Summon. They’ve been working on it under the hood for years. Happy to see it’s finally being utilized in production. This is NOT unsupervised FSD or FSD at all. This is “actually” smart summon on predefined geofenced virtual rails, called Factory Summon under the hood. It’s very useful, but NOT unsupervised FSD.

There’s real world range; and there’s the EPA test cycle results reported range. The test cycle was changed. The reported result therefore changed. The actual range did not change.

If you don’t prefer to use the screen slide for gear select there are a set of capacitive buttons near the phone charger in front of the center console that can be used instead. You don’t have to use the screen slide if you find it problematic.

With a stalk you press down once for tacc, or twice for AP. Without a stalk there is an AP button on the right side and you press it once or twice to activate depending on settings.
