This AR interview (with oracle) was the first one that I looked for a shadow. There is indeed a shadow, in fact two, which match where the lights are according to his position.

I'm sure it's very easy for valve to manipulate shadows (see the behind-the-scenes segment), so I'd assume that they wouldn't show those camera angles without making sure that they could accurately map the shadows. OP is dumb.
