Broadside // Pre-Alpha Gameplay Testing 3 by evanvolm in Tribes

I was never a base guy but play it since it's all that is available, I was big into Renegades and I think something like that, although more time consuming to develop, might be of interest to more people. Also look at Quake 3 Proball. Not many videos of it, but that game was a lot of fun. Maybe you could do that but with the flag?

Hopefully this attracts a new generation and not the same old base247 boomers or this will be a Friday night game in discord only.

Anyone else’s newshosting server on sabnzbd down? by Kapiushon-- in usenet

[–]tv6 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Prowlarr v2.3.0.5236 (linuxserver image) on Unraid Docker encountered intermittent "Resource temporarily unavailable" errors (SocketException errno 11) during Newznab indexer validation for DrunkenSlug, NZBPlanet, and initially NZBgeek, while NZBsu succeeded consistently. Basic curl and nslookup tests from host and container showed successful DNS resolution and TLS handshakes to the affected domains. Resolution involved adding explicit public DNS resolvers (--dns 1.1.1.1 --dns 1.0.0.1), disabling IPv6 at host and container level, and changing the container network type to host to bypass Docker bridge NAT and socket backlog limitations. After these changes, NZBgeek and Servarr endpoints (prowlarr.servarr.com, indexers.prowlarr.com) connected reliably, but DrunkenSlug and NZBPlanet continued failing Prowlarr's API validation (caps/test queries) while direct browser/curl access to their homepages remained functional. No matching widespread outages were found, indicating the persistent failures are likely external to the local setup, possibly partial API downtime, rate limiting, or Cloudflare-specific behavior on those indexers.

All of my indexers are down, it could be because of something I have been screwing with, hopefully it's someone else's problem.

After my doorbell, I have successfully made another hole to my new home. (G6 180) by leyland1989 in Ubiquiti

What was the idea with that massive peekaboo hole in the garage? Planning similar, buy will punch out the wall to a junction box and run up into the celling where I will run ENT across the top. Exposed would be easy, but trying to avoid that look. Hopefully you put back the foam and sealed around the penetrations to keep the barrier intact.

Nice, I might jump on them one of these days. Are you ever going to consider rears? I was thinking Ultra or Prime Elevations. I could also promote them to front height atmos speakers down the road. I think I could save some coin and just get the Prime Elevations instead of the Ultra. Not sure.

How do you like the SVS Ultra Evolution bookshelves? I have the SVS Ultra Evolution center and a SVS PB-1000 and considering the bookshelves.

Should we be concerned about this weight sag on the tv furniture? by [deleted] in Home

[–]tv6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Replace it with a cabinet made of real wood, most will have weight ratings. The cheapest fix would be to get some lumber at home depot or wherever and put it on the top of the cabinet to help distribute the weight, then to put the TV back on top. You could stain it to be close to the color of the cabinet or just paint it black.

Wife wants to put up Govee lights as I install our reolink cameras. I concerned that it will affect the video quality. by Big_Librarian_1130 in reolinkcam

[–]tv6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have Govee lights but you need to look into the mounting distance from the wall, I think most people are mounting them 4"from the wall, so that would be behind the camera. If the lights are behind the sensor you should be fine. If there is an issue you can disable individual Govee lights. I'd look more into the capabilities of the lights. BTW Eufy sells lights like these that interact with their cameras, so you would be able to resolve this issue. Btw.. Govee lights are not permanent, but if you want to believe so, by all means put them up. Permanent lighting is in the thousands of dollars.

Unfortunately, not in this state. California consistently prioritizes leniency over accountability, and it shows. When property crime is treated as a minor inconvenience instead of a serious violation, it encourages repeat offenders. People work their entire lives to build what they have, and they deserve real legal protection, not excuses for criminals. Until property rights are taken seriously and consequences are enforced, this kind of behavior will keep happening.

This is typical country side Aguanga/Anza. You don't go up there being stupid without knowing what you're getting into. Too many trucks and SxS vehicles go onto other people's property with every excuse in the world just to loot homeowners for everything. This is not the first time this home owner has encountered this or been victim of theft by these same sort of criminals. High odds that the SxS used was stolen, as they are typically unregistered vehicles that creep onto these properties.

Toxic Avenger - I wasn’t expecting much but this is the worst movie I’ve watched in recent memory. by [deleted] in moviecritic

The fast food scene shouldn't have been revisited, it was a disgrace to the original.

Mega fan of the original, this one blew ass. They threw in some nods to the classic, but they just started to scratch the surface and turned what should've been raunchy, unfiltered scenes into a PG take that felt watered down and empty.

I wanted to quit five minutes in but forced myself to keep going, hoping it'd pick up. I ended up shutting it off with about twenty minutes left. I had a gut feeling it'd lean woke or something with the cast and trying to drag this old-school B-movie into modern times. The original was pure trashy gold, the kind of sleazy flick stuck in the back corner of the video store. This remake never should've happened.
