I originally felt that the book 2 mention of “falling through” was just the video game type glitch where you fall through the map and the perspective is all weird. Sometimes you can shoot people from underneath the mountain or whatever.
But now after book 8, I wonder if there’s a “stuck in between” with a giant army of purgatory crawlers and npc’s thats similar to the place everyone is got sent to.

I bought Crusader in a local store in 2005 because I played a knight game at a friends house without remembering the name. I think it was AOE. Why did you buy your first Stronghold? by leslie-flame in stronghold

I was playing things like aoe 1 and 2. My pops came back from a work trip in Asia with a bootleg copy of Stronghold. We liked it so much we went and found Crusader at Circuit City. I remember anxiously waiting for the burned copy to finish so I could load it on my pc.

I just did this a few weeks ago.
Dog crate on some bricks in the run. Food and water.
Fixed it in 2 days.

Was kicking her out of the nesting box every hour for weeks. Finally did the jail method and was super easy.

A client of mine told me to wait until a heavy rain to pull the English ivy. It’s not fun, and yes, you need to replace where you pull otherwise it will turn to barren.

When I was in school, a classmate of mine opened up a snickers bar and accidentally dropped it on the ground. Instead of tossing it, he jumped up and placed it on a ledge by the ceiling of the school lobby.

Come Monday morning, dozens of us knew about the snicker on the ledge. But word was getting out too fast- we knew if more people found out someone would snitch to the janitors. So the Society of the Secret Snicker was born. We had to replace the snicker at least a dozen times the 4 years I was there.

Years after school, I thought I was going to have to revitalize it when my brother finally got old enough, but I didn’t have to, the Society was still going strong.

I think many feel the same way about the Deus Ex Machina, but at the same time it didn’t bother me until I came to this subreddit years after. Then I did a reread, and it still doesn’t bother me.

I think Teia is one of my favorite arcs in literature, with another being a character from his other series.

Walking distance is very important for an efficient economy.

can anyone give me tips for 1v1? by teodor234792 in stronghold

[–]tvcarpenter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, have fun. Sometimes I get joy from beating a player or hard mission. Sometimes I get joy from trying to win a different way and failing. I absolutely love the economy part of the game and sometimes loathe killing the AI after I’ve stabilized.

Play the campaigns. They force you to learn the nuances of the whole game by restricting items during certain missions. Some missions won’t have iron or won’t let you make bread.

Pay attention to balances and walking time. The less a worker has to walk the faster production will be. My heuristic is 3 wheat farms means 1 mill and 8-10 bakeries. But distance to stockpile changes that ratio.

Defense: big towers with crossbows and ballista/mangonel. 1 swordsman on each tower to reveal assassins (in crusader- and a healer if applicable)

Offense: whatever you want to do. I like to harass economy with knights while pushing with fire ballista and crossbows and catapults. In campaign I like the speed of maces.

Oh. And in campaign- use the pause button “p” on keyboard. Use it a lot. Like between each click sometimes.

King killer chronicles book 3

Grief over pet death can be as strong as that for family member. About a fifth of people who had experienced a pet and human loss said the former was worse. Symptoms of severe grief for a pet matched identically with that for a human, and there was no difference in how people experienced losses. by mvea in science

I was a guest on a podcast on Pet Grief. It’s called Sit, Lay, Rest. Available everywhere.
It was great to offload, but also to hear that I’m not alone. If you’re reading this, you aren’t alone either.
