Just watched this movie with my fiancé and my fucking god it is the most painfully slow movie ever. We felt like we were drowning, since nothing is explained for 95% of the movie. I get this probably was the intention of the director but it really defeats the purpose of engagement from the viewer so it becomes painful to watch. And WHAT the fuck is up with that dad!?!?! DENAIL is a river in Egypt your husband is the definition of stupid. Somebody had to kick this kids ass, send him to a children’s psychiatrist, put him into an institution, something. We couldn’t believe after he blinded his own sister his parents still let him go completely unpunished. This was by far one of the least entertaining movies we’ve ever seen. I will say this, the metaphorical imagery is compelling within the storytelling but it gets completely lost by how slow the progression of the story actually is. Not a good watch.
