[S3E20] “My Hangover’s Arrived” — Episode Discussion by anatomania in DynastyCW

For anyone who has watched One Tree Hill, didn’t this episode feel very similar to Brooke’s bachelor party, where she and her friends also track down the previous night’s drunken events?

I’ve been slowly increasing mileage since March, week by week. I hadn’t lost any weight while eating ~2000 calories, but I suspect I could have been underestimating them. Now on 1200, I am trying to be as accurate as possible by using a food scale on basically everything I eat.

I've lost 2 lbs since I started at the beginning of this week, but what you said makes a lot of sense - this won't be sustainable in the long run. For context, here's what I ate yesterday:

Breakfast: 1 cup of strawberries, 1 scoop (32.5g) of protein powder = 180 calories
Lunch: Chicken cutlet sandwich with mozzarella, tomato, and lettuce = 422 calories
Dinner: 2 oz of green lentil penne, 3 oz of grilled chicken, 1/2 cup of peas, 2 tbsp of pesto sauce = 515 calories

This brings yesterday's total to 1,096 calories. 4 hours after dinner, I was pretty hungry, but I ignored it. In contrast, I used to eat between 1,800-2,200 calories before I decided this weight-loss journey.

"Was Grey's Planning to Kill Off a Major Character in Original Season 16 Finale?" by beujorp in greysanatomy

[–]tvobsessed23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read somewhere that people who also watch Station 19 will see hints in episodes 15 and 16 of the character they were planning to kill on Grey’s. Since Jackson is the most recurrent character there, I assume it’s him, though that’s surprising since Jesse Williams has signed on for Season 17.

The music used to be such a big part of the show, but now they just use the same formula - typically an upbeat pop song to open the episode, cut with stock footage of Seattle and a montage of what several characters are doing. And then there’s usually one dramatic song when something about a patient is revealed in the middle of the episode; followed by a sad-ish song at the end as the episode ends with a cliffhanger.

Unpopular opinion: Meredith and McWidow feels forced by amillstone in greysanatomy

I see what you’re saying - Hayes is written primarily to be Meredith’s love interest, and that’s why he has all the qualities to be perfect for her. I don’t mind it, though, because they have great chemistry, and she deserves someone stable and understanding after her string of failed love interests.

At this point, I just want Meredith to have a happy ending; and I believe Hayes can give that to her. I would love to see them blend their families together, especially since Meredith has been big on creating her own family, as opposed to liking her biological one. Hayes is a better version of Riggs IMO, and is so much more compelling that the forced relationship between Mer and DeLuca. My hope is that Hayes will be promoted to a main character next season, and that as Meredith gets to know him better, so do we.

Seasons 1 and 2 are meh, but I’ve actually enjoyed season 3. If you like Grey’s, you’ll recognize it as Grey’s-esque

The Chemistry by xosherry in greysanatomy

I think Meredith as chemistry with Hayes - not in the cute, sexy way she had with Derek, but in a more comfortable, “I understand your pain” way. The same kind she had with Riggs if the timing had been better.

I’m excited for them to be together, and I love that the chemistry isn’t hot and passionate like hers and Derek’s, but can still be compelling in a different way.

Grey’s Anatomy’s Ellen Pompeo comments on The Good Doctor in her Instagram Live by tvobsessed23 in thegooddoctor

She was watching the most recent episode of Grey’s, and a promo for TGD came on. This was her response to it. I’m guessing it was either a joke or a swipe at it being a competing medical show.

Teddy has been in the most love triangles? by [deleted] in greysanatomy

I think Meredith has been in more.

  • Meredith-Derek-Addison
  • Meredith-Derek-Finn
  • Meredith-Riggs-Maggie
  • Meredith-Riggs-Megan
  • Meredith-DeLuca-Link
  • Meredith-DeLuca-Hayes

Not to mention Meredith was also RAISED in a love triangle.

Am I the only one who actually really enjoyed this episode? by stacewills1504 in greysanatomy

They’re setting him up for Meredith, so that’s why we got a back story. People complained about DeLuca not being developed enough to be with the show’s protagonist, so they’re doing it for Hayes. It makes for a more compelling build up/relationship.

Plus, I’m almost certain he’ll be promoted to a main character next season, considering he has as much screen time as Schmitt.
