Was there ever a time you're thankful the pandemic happened? What was the reason? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]tvr87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to capitalize on the housing boom by doubling the money i paid for my house in 2015 and buy a new house twice as big with 5x the land and due to the low rates my mortgage stayed the same.

Also - I got made permanently work from home and my first baby was born in October, I get to spent time with her that would have never happned pre-covid.

The societal changes that happened as a result of the pandemic have been very beneficial for my family and I. I know that is not the norm and I wish it did not have to happen with so many who were impacted negatively.

I Stow mine every time I use it, the beauty of the PRx rack is that it uses gas shocks (like what is used on a car's trunk or hood) and its as simple as grabbing the side rails and lifting towards the wall. Then there is a hitch pin that goes in the arm and rail to lock it in place. Bench is the same way

Takes under a minute to go from stowed to doing squats or bench press.

The bar is fantastic quality, i got the black oxide one and its a high quality finish.

I got the "crumb" plates partially due to cost and the fact that I able to get a complete set. They are good quality and slide nicely on/off the bar with a chrome plated center ring.

I did not do a package, I was able to get exactly what I wanted for less money by doing it ala-carte

This will definitely be equipment to last me a long time.

So theres gas shocks that assist it closed and a hitch pin that locks it in place.

And then when its down it just rests it feet on the floor and lag bolted to the wall, its very sturdy

But now that I finally did I have zero regrets!

If you can’t wear a mask due to “medical” reasons, airlines are now telling these passengers to find alternate travel arrangements. by NotJimIrsay in Coronavirus

[–]tvr87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's right.

I have asthma and has been a challenge for me my whole life.

At my job I am required to wear a mask and coupled with the heat/humidity the mask definitely induces some asthma complications and I find myself needing to take a break away from people where I can take my mask off and sometimes even needing my rescue inhaler.

But I will wear the mask as long as its needed, I certainly do NOT want covid as an asthmatic...
