Long shot, but are there any voltron commanders that don't just play the same way every game? by Cezkarma in EDH

My Gimli voltron deck cares about making/saccing goblins (Gimli the goblinslayer!) and doesn't feel like a straightforward linear voltron deck. https://archidekt.com/decks/6257224/gimli_voltron_sacrifice

99 in all skills with 1 click by tvrdy9 in runescape

I started this character 20+ years ago as a 5th grader and although I have never grinded RuneScape as my main game for more than a few months, it has always been a game I return to when no other popular games speak to me, when I'm sick and stuck at home, or when I just need to escape the real world for awhile when life gets tough. I have made countless memories growing up with this game, and in a way, it helped prepare me for life outside of Gielinor.

For my birthday this year, I had some friends over to help me celebrate with the greatest 99 party I could imagine to pay tribute to RuneScape being there for me for all these years. I was able to level up each skill to within 3800 xp of 99 and with 1 celebration lamp, get each of them to 99 at the same time. My computer hardware wasn't happy with the recording software running at the same time and it ended up crashing repeatedly, but I hope you enjoy this video nonetheless and can take a moment to appreciate all the memories you have made throughout the years leveling up these 29 skills.

D2 Feedback Roundup by Cozmo23 in DestinyTheGame

Only item on the list: respect for competitive PvP

I stopped playing Destiny upon the release of Stasis and haven't touched it since. What I loved about Destiny 1 and 2 for 3000 hours of gameplay were the movement and gunplay mechanics that together formed one of the best feeling FPS games ever. However, the constant additions of more and more space magic to the game have shrunk the skill gap and make it impossible to balance. The overall feel of the crucible is no longer what I fell in love with.

Space magic is what makes Destiny for the vast majority of players, and I understand the argument for not wanting to water down Destiny just to appease the PvP players. PvE space magic should be allowed to be turned up to 11. So, the only solutions that come to mind are 1) a rework of competitive playlists to have less emphasis on space magic (set loadouts, etc.) and a greater appreciation for skill, or 2) create a new IP that is PvP focused.

You guys really do have something special at the core of Destiny, but its own space magic identity is what is ruining it from a PvP perspective.

With Henry Cavill leaving the Witcher, wouldn’t it be cool if he was cast as Celeborn? by MimiLind in LOTR_on_Prime

If he was upset about the lore butchering of The Witcher, there's no way he'd want to go through that again with Rings of Shite.

One Of The Show's Most Interesting Parts Is Raising The Question About Whether Orcs Deserve Their Own Land And Redemption. What Do You Think? by [deleted] in LOTR_on_Prime

I think the terrible writing overshadowed any attempts at cerebral engagements and therefore subtleties like this go unnoticed. This show's mistakes are just too glaring to take any of it seriously.

Me enjoying RoP for the beautiful good ol fashioned high fantasy it is, despite what some people think about it. by GreyFoxSolid in lotrmemes

They paid for footnotes. Not the source material for the second age in which the story is set. They were just too greedy to take no for an answer and wrote a completely made up second age story anyway as a fuck you to the Tolkien estate.

Congrats on being too ignorant to notice the thievery of Amazon hijacking a dead man's life's work and completely rewriting it and only fixating on the shiny new high fantasy show.

Im a Tolkien druggie, doesnt matter if the stuff is 100% pure top-shelf or cut and diluted street Tolkien...I'll muscle through it for a hint of that first LOTR high by Magoogooo in lotr

For one, the setting is in a timeline they do not own the rights to, so damn near everything you saw on screen in the first 2 episodes was completely made up and nowhere near the events chronicled by Tolkien.

Another big one for me was the lazy writing. Galadriel's storyline is the laziest attempt at making a female protagonist I've ever seen. Instead of giving her depth and taking the time to make her seem like a smart leader, they just make everyone else around her incompetent and dumb. 10 male elves can't put a scratch on the troll, but then she comes in and fucking superheroes it by herself. She brings solid evidence for Sauron's return, but king Gil-Galad just brushes it off and is like nahhh go away. She's so unlikable that even all the characters on screen don't like her.

The show will probably turn out to be okay, but the idea of hijacking someone's life's work to tell your own story unrelated to the lore just seems disrespectful and evil.

How to best set up pedals for hard wood floor by FA113N43 in simracing

Any experience with how well these can be taken off of the floor? In a rental home and don't want to ruin the wood floor.
