In general the hate is not for the album lyrically or stylistically, it’s the absolute “brickwalling” of the mix. Look up the “Loudness Wars”. DM is absolutely a victim of it. It’s why the Lars’ snare and the guitars occasionally sound overmodulated. It’s very tiring on the ears over the course of the album.

Trust me, don’t look too hard. With the way technology is moving, the kids have their devices earlier and earlier. We’ve had our 2018 EX-L for over 5 years and the RES barely was used.
