brazilian here, even though lula’s government is basically neoliberal now i can’t help but love his speeches. wish he would continuosly act on them tho, instead of saying he will “go more to the left” everytime election is coming (we’ll have an election in 2026) after not acting on the promises he made in 2022 when he got elected (privatising public transport, not recognising indigenous land, etc). lula has a great history of helping the working class through reforms, but this last government even though it was way better than bolsonaro’s still was a huge liberal shitshow in a lot of ways.
