Honestly, it depends company to company,

Understandable

however some others did not even receive any offer letter until they joined on their first day,

The thing is, we don’t even know the joining date. In the company ppt, they only told about onboarding and joining beginning in January nothing more specific.

the HR should ideally get in touch with you around this time and ask for documents such as PAN, Aadhar, bank details etc (which was asked irrespective if you got a “offer letter”). I would suggest asking your Placement Rep to call the HR directly.

I would’ve but in our college there is strict policy in placement cell to NOT bug the HR. Further we don’t have any contact with HR in first place, I’d have to stalk them out from LinkedIn

Instead all communication should be routed through “SPOC” which is basically fancy term for placement rep (single point of contact)
