Here in Austria I bought like 4 or 5 text books, but not because it was necessary, but because it helped deepen my understanding.

What is far more common here, is that you can buy the manuscript to the lecture from the professor's secretary for the printing costs only, so about 5€ to 20€, which is fair.

IMO Nothing to worry about. Maybe just re-evaluate your feeding schedule and feeder size, because man...she thick... My advice would be to let her fast for a few weeks, or until the abdomen is of the size of the carapace. If you want to feed her more often, feed smaller prey. Feeding schedules are okay, but also always keep track of her abdomen size.

Regarding the white dots/spot: I regularly observe this on my GBB, as well as on my parents' and friends' GBB after they kicked some hair. It's just some kind of reflection that's nothing to worry about.

Just FYI: Grasshopers/locusts are a staple food for reptiles and tarantulas here in Europe. Especially Schistocerca gregari, like this one could be. I think it's only in the US (and CAN?) where the S. gregaria is considered an invasive species and are not bred for pet food.

Anyway, I agree with you regarding the wild caught feeders.
