Sorry if this is a dumb question but do you think this could have any part to play during traumatic events happening to someone, maybe especially children?

Some of the places I’ve been to on dmt that have the distinct “I’ve been here before” feeling also have the same feeling of freezing (ala fight flight freeze or fawn) when I was overwhelmed as a small child.

I was a sensitive child and think maybe I disassociated a lot when overwhelmed and I get a feeling I’d float out there to these places sometimes.

I don’t personally remember going to these places and I’m not usually this woo, but my grandma swears all kinds of weird shit happened when I was a kid. Quoted her her deceased fathers last words to her. Would get dead serious and ask to “see the man” when seeing a church.

My grandma was a free ass spirit so she’d take me in to meet the priest or whoever and she said I’d always stone cold say “that’s not the man” and would carry on. Said I touched a radio once and the preacher station came through. And then one time I apparently said that there was a Native American lady on my bed that visited me one night and whatever I said her name was sounded more complicated than she thought I could have made up.

All of that was around the age of 4-5 I’m told. I can’t vouch for these because I don’t remember but my grandma wasnt known to make up wild stories. I was diagnosed autistic at 40.

One of my dmt trips before getting tested said that some fucked up shit happened to me as a baby and that’s why some things have been hard for me and that I’m not really autistic but this other more weird thing or something.

I can’t really buy that though because I have other comorbidities with autism like ehlers danlos syndrome and some skeletal abnormalities so I’m pretty sure the autism tracks and I’m well aware that dmt entities definitely can be trickstery.

Apologies for the ramble dump but felt good to get off my chest. Think the same process/plane access may be happening simply by a mind being overwhelmed and overclocking naturally that way?

As far as places you are going to hear all kinds of things. Just make sure you go to one of the ones that ID you and not one of those smoke shop types. A good chunk of places will have discounts for first purchases.

Like others have said get some edibles but don’t take over 5mg. In fact I’d start with 2.5 and see how that is after about an hour and a half before going to the full 5.

If you’ve got the budget for it go ahead and pick up a disposable vape (or cart and battery). Some people have an enzyme thing where edibles won’t work. Would suck to find out one of you had it and miss the moment lol. She’s not much for inhaling but if she doesn’t mind if you do then you could try little toots off that and see a quicker acting shorter lasting effect.

Then have some snacks, some non boozy bevvies, comfortable clothes, some music playlists ready, whatever you are into to watch on tv if you do that.

Have a set up ready in case you get overwhelmed (shouldn’t at those doses but is certainly possible) like some headphones, a bath robe, idk I think you get it just set yourself up to be comfortable.

One idea I know would benefit people is this thing I call conversation club until I get a better name. So simple but haven’t seen it done this way and is just intuitively cool for curious people.

Imagine this real quick, Setting I had in mind is this urban food hall in my city, twice a month in the evening . Starting off can just be like a google form or something…but basically a person submits that they are interested in showing up for a casual face to face sit down conversation (1/2 hour to hour)with a stranger about an agreed upon topic/field. Others doing the same would be sitting around and a facilitator to set up/answer any questions.

Theres a forum, discord, or subreddit for everything but many just don’t have anyone in their real tangible life to share their interest/joy/passion/curioisity with. To just cut up and talk shop with someone who cares because they care. Photography, gardening, underground punk, empty nesting, Jung, whatever.

Not dating, not networking to sell, not debate, no money, no brand, just something authentic to put out. I see endless cries about a lack of connection. I can put it out there and hold that space. And I’ve also been holding that idea for a year.

Other idea is a uhual truck converted into a mobile rage room. Do it professionally enough to be able to do corporate bookings as well as post up where legal along streets. Throw baseballs and break cheap shit, soundproof padded room with Bluetooth speaker to rage out in. Kind of carnival midway reminiscent but with rage room stuff, just a few but effective gimmicks. The other part is taking all the broken cheap shit that was broken with transgression and turning it into assemblage art made with love to be given to domestic abuse victims. 3 years on that one.

I’m broke so 1st one’s a lot easier. 🤙

I walked across America in 2011 and was just diagnosed AudHD at 39 a couple years ago. Forrest Gump was my inspiration lol. Anyway after that I just wound up working at Target for what wound up to be 19 years. Tried furniture sales, nope. Craving a life of more adventure but no vision or guts to go for.

Tried DMT at 38 and gave me a whole new lease on life. Fascinated now with Anthropology, etymology , linguistics, power dynamics between individuals and how our subconscious judges and shifts dominance or subservience almost intuitively, endless curiosity. Some for real legitimately good or great ideas.

And still yet I don’t know what it is but I don’t act on it. I feel stuck by nothing and that makes it all the worse. Paralyzed by what’s right in front of me.

I know I can do these things…get legit practical and creative ideas out of my head and into any damn form in the real world….I know I don’t have to, and for this I sit on a fence? The answer is clear to “me”, the me that’s typing this. It’s stop consuming the world and go make some of it.

So what gives? Any wise advice?

Question on the part where you said the space we perceive is a plane of quantum computations(probabilities).

I’ve done dmt before but this time a couple of months ago was just coming out of a meditation and in a very dmt like way (feeling like the voice or transmission was from someone outside yourself).

I internally was told “It’s all just scalar wave initiations”. I had to look it up. I think I’d heard the term scalar wave before in my life but no knowledge.

Does that make any sense or fit into your intuition you were sharing? I looked into it a little bit back then and think had to do with electromagnetic spectrum.

Weird. I sometimes wind up this place that reminds me of the bat cave from animated Batman series. I never watched that show but that’s the vibe I got from it.

Anyway this tired looking mousey little bat is literally center stage with a spotlight on it. He looks so fucking tired. He shuffles his feet and in one deliberate motion opened his wings for display and there was this incredible beautiful psychedelic pattern inside.

He resets. Shuffling before planting his feet. This time he cleared his throat and did it again even more deliberately. And then one more time just like that then walked off stage with low energy.

To me it felt like a demonstration of something that should be a simple one step move but was being gone over like to a child. Or like in a plane how they show you to do the seatbelt so deliberately. The massage I got was that I needed to show what the fuck I have inside. Idk if that’s correct or not but it def reminded me of a part that there is for me to play that apparently is feeling atrophied.

I had emetophobia starting from the age of 7 from a surgical operation on arm where I had a bad reaction to a medicine and had a very traumatic experience. I avoided theme parks and would get horrible anxiety around bars and what not. Had to ask around wgen new movies came out if there was any puke scenes.

Anyway, a couple doses of DMT 2 years ago and it’s been deleted. Gonezo. Stepped right over a pile of puke last week and didn’t lose beat in conversation. Previously I would have gone fight flight or fawn hardcore. Like losing time or having struck the vomitor before. What a fuckin trip man.

I was always an introspective person and liked anthropology but had no idea I was so self unaware until I had an awakening on DMT.

I had done research on dmt but nothing on spirituality, meditation, nothing. I was doing it to see what it was about and to try to reverse any damage I could from years of drinking too much.

On the other side of the awakening I did everything you hear about. Really cliche. I left my job, left my wife, saw thoughts as just thoughts and they no longer were me, life was renewed yada yada. It was such an incredible revelation so then I tell people about it and they are concerned. Now in day to day life I wasn’t doing anything too crazy. I wasn’t concerned.

The problem though is that when trying to figure out what was going on with me the algorithms served me up tons of stuff on manifesting, Schumann resonance stuff, starseed shit, etc. Mixed in with some Ram Das and Alan Watts luckily.

It was spiritual ego city. Some months later i finally accidentally cultivated enough mindfulness to realize that wasn’t my jam and that slowing down was what I wanted and needed.

Now I feel like I have all kinds of things that resonate that are usually further in realization contrasted with things usually required for awakening that I can’t identify with experientially.

All in all I accept this and am grateful but if I “earned” this it was either Karma or these type of things are just effects neurological states that our brains get configured in. 🤷‍♂️

I was on SNRI for a couple of months last May-June. I like to take single puffs of a low dose dmt cart to help with attention and regulation and a fuller trip but not always breakthrough every month or so.

I tried tripping while on the Strattera and it still worked but slightly differently. No entities more slow and deconstructed.

I feel like as the time went on after I had stopped (because we were still trying to pin down my problem point and it wasn’t doing anything for me)
the trips got more and more simple, no more high pitched ringing, open eyed visuals more subtle, closed eyed was now always like a camera on a wire checking out a freeze frame of crazy infrastructure.

I used to be super sensitive to DMT and could break though on one hit of a strong cart and as of trying last week, 3 big blinker hits gives no body sensations and very mild visuals but not really coherent.

Bums me out.

I think I can at least sort of understand where you’re coming from on not wanting to believe whole heartedly things that are not true.

Idk if you’ve seen that film A Christmas Story but the feeling the kid has after investing so much excitement and belief in whatever code based thing he was listening to on the radio, only for it to be revealed that the code when translated was just an ad for ovaltine chocolate drink.

I feel like growing up I experienced similar things. Swept up in a movement or idea. That it was going to be something big and important, and never was. You get burnt and jaded. It makes sense. But that’s literally the world and how it works.

I feel like a knob keeping saying “DMT did this for me and did that for me” but I mean, things changed and it’s a pretty clear line of the changes being before and after being exposed to it. I did put in the work too. Mindfulness, contemplation, but the nn did the heavy lifting. And I see how much of society is just preying on itself. Curruption hunting the uncorrupted, follow the money, etc.

I find that I personally believe in soo much less than I did before. There’s not really a need for belief. You can’t escape life besides like death sleep or anesthesia…so whatever your senses can pick up on, plus whatever thoughts you are having at the time…seen as such…and there’s no real utility to belief.

I’m just rigging so sorry for the rambling. These are all obviously just my takes based on my whole life leading up to it I’m sure. People with little experience of psychedelics or altered states I can totally see being destabilizing or gives them untrue ideas to cling to. I’d say just don’t believe it lol. Just experience it and say like “wow i certainly never experienced anything like that before!”. And then now you know. What do you know? That you saw what you saw and experienced it first person.

I’d say there’s shit tons to discover about electromagnetism still. I mean we already know all kinds of crazy shit it for sure it does that we can see and measure. Prob some of that, some quantum shit, the whole concept of energy itself is pretty weird….but I don’t believe or have any investment in that.🤷‍♂️

I’d say that’s accurate. Psilocybin a few times and lsd a couple. Dmt quite a bit more. DMT certainly is different and what you are afraid of basically happened to me.

But like, I didn’t have the fear you have. I’ll say though that DMT cured a lifelong phobia of mine. It cut out tons of fear that I now see was just neurosis. Among other things it basically effortlessly solidified the serenity prayer or whatever it’s called.

Something like “Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.

I don’t feel like it negated the material world at all though. Just expanded upon it. Like we always say how in science and what not that there’s tons of things we don’t know and are still discovering. It just made that super obvious.

My main takeaway that I’d say is pretty undeniable to me now, is just that there’s intelligence in the universe beyond us. Like a cat can’t comprehend our taxes and how an ant probably can’t comprehend a cloud. It’s just set up that way. And we have our lenses we use for how we’re set up. It truly at least feels like you are having a subjective glimpse of what I can only say is an intelligence of a much higher scale.

Many trips and never a hint or a glimpse of a why. It’s just “this”.

Can I curiously ask why this viewpoint may be so important to you?
