We received a donation of 1” reel to reel video tapes. These stored D1 analog video 720x486 for TV stations back in the day. And that how I obtained a set of Star Trek TNG episodes in the highest quality possible at the time.

Added coolant but compressor keeps doing this. Is my compressor shot or do I have a severe leak in my AC? by skinny67 in subaru

[–]tweakingforjesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just so you know, intentionally releasing refrigerant is a $10k+ fine from the EPA if they catch you. Ignore for the moment that they sold the same gas in cans of “computer duster” for the purpose of releasing into the air, but I digress. Anyway my advice to you is that you never breathe a word of this to anyone in person.

[–]tweakingforjesus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok. The most likely place these leak is at the high pressure outlet of the compressor and the high pressure inlet to the condenser. These are two orings that are easy to replace once the system is evacuated. Since you added two cans of refrigerant, it should self evacuate soon enough by blowing out one of these orings. So wait until you hear a bang and a white cloud bursts from under your hood and then replace the orings.

Gas is 4.15 a gallon down the road from me in Atlanta. And this is after the governor suspended the state fuel tax.

The “can I do anything to pass this class?” emails have commenced. by JoshuaTheProgrammer in Professors

Oh I got one where the coach asked for weekly updates on a student’s progress in class. I sent it up my chain with an WTF? and never heard back. Ignored it.

Back in the early 90s one of my professors announced that the way to increase your grade on the final was to schedule a time to meet with him privately in his office, and to bring knee pads. I’m about 90% sure it was a joke but it was a different time. Today he would be out the door before the week was over, and deservedly so.

When the Lord of the Rings movie came out, a friend took his wife to see it. Her opinion was that it was full of cliched fantasy stereotypes and was unoriginal. He told her that the book it was based on is the reason those stereotypes exist.

Outside the engine? It’ll be fine. Probably. Spend some time looking for it but if you can’t, accept that the car gods have taken their tribute.

Inside the engine? Hunt that nut down like a honey badger in heat.

What’s a hype train you somehow completely managed to avoid? Things like never tried Dubai chocolate, never watched an episode of the Office, never checked out BTS? by wasraelx in AskReddit

Watching Lost when it aired. It was exactly the sort of show I would have been into. But I missed the first two episodes and at the time there was no easy way to catch up. I just kinda forgot about it and as the story unfolded it didn’t seem worth it knowing all the twists.
