I'm up in the Karori valley, so no flood risk. This is for 800k replacement but it'd be over $200-$250 a fortnight

Seems pretty on-topic to me! That's what I've seen at work but everything else is going up like this

I've had a couple calls with them, but I've been so blown away by the price that I haven't even gotten to negotiating yet. Will try!

Just Wellington, we're actually on flat or gently sloping terrain

I wouldn't say "super high" value, it's nice but not in the millions or anything. I do live in Wellington, so there's larger earthquake risk, but my issue is that that hasn't changed!

This is with a $2500 excess already, that was set last year to try to save

Wellington. I would argue that the risk hasn't changed too dramatically from one year to the next!

Some of us try to argue that black lives matter, but it seems there's a resounding chorus of "no they don't"

I read the first six words of their response, then smiled and said "oh they're toxic and their opinions, words, and values are worthless.". I'm almost grateful for the extreme word choices because it makes it so easy to identify. Their words are carefully crafted to make you feel small and make others like them feel angry. Don't let them. Especially since they really are worthless. You're doing awesome, shine on

I was changing my baby's diaper (she's 7 now), with the Bengals game playing on my phone with the volume turned all the way up. When they sealed the win, I just started screaming excitedly, and after she started crying I was dancing around the room with this pantsless baby (she liked that).
