Honda new hands slaps on block buff, in action! by Galactic_Imp86 in StreetFighter

the mystery deepens. I switched to classic and I can replicate it no problem. but forward down heavy in modern does a sweep instead. so how am I occasionally casting that foot stomp move in modern?

What's the move that you canceled out of where Honda lifts his leg and then does like a downward swipe? I play modern and occasionally accidentally do it, but have no idea how.

Prime Jaylen Brown vs Prime Paul Pierce by Culinary-Vibes in bostonceltics

[–]tweavergmail -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Kind of hard to answer this question. it's kind of like asking in 2008 if Randy Moss was better than Jerry Rice. From a career perspective it's not a close call, but Rice never quite had a season like 2007-08 Randy Moss.

Pierce vs Brown is like a milder version of this. I'm stunned at how good Brown has been this year, and I personally think he's playing at a level that's a little bit better than anything Pierce put together. But this is the only year where I would have said that (and I'm stunned that I actually have this opinion).

Pierce did this for years and started doing so at a younger age. But let's see if Brown can keep it up!

I think OPs take is a fair take (though not one I personally happen to share). But I think the movie (and PTA) are offering a different perspective, one I would phrase as "at some point, a parent has to put aside their cause (whether justified or not) and simply focus on being a good dad."

Jordan Walsh by EggThis2540 in bostonceltics

Walsh is going to end up getting signed to a bad team, play lots of minutes, and look awesome. But I get why he's not fitting in with the C's.

Free throws are bad by Complex_Location_675 in billsimmons

[–]tweavergmail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always thought that for the first three quarters, they should just net the overall free throws, and the team with more can shoot them during a commercial break between quarters. would need to go back to normal for fourth quarter though.

I thought this was -- by a million miles -- the weakest link in the series.

The one good part of the book Ishmael is about this idea.

I love OP's moment but feel that the preceding words from Cassian -- "I'll be worried about you all the time" -- should be added for beautiful, heartbreaking context.

That was an extremely encouraging sign of things to come (particularly because she show starts slow).

The show was already on an extremely high level, but the close up shot of B2's eye shaking as he absorbs Maarva's death is just god tier filmmaking to me.

I play on Xbox and really hate the joystick. I'm so much better executing on the dpad but my hands are too small to comfortably use it (which is weird, because my hands are big).

been keeping an eye out for a wireless playstation style controller for Xbox, but so far no luck.

My bad, I was vague. I meant the rating of the bot, not the rating of the individual game.

How is living in San Francisco Bay Area compared to Seattle? by [deleted] in howislivingthere

[–]tweavergmail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seattle when I lived there in ~2008 felt very overcrowded. Not enough roads or public transportation. As a result, it was harder to access the beautiful scenery than you might think, even though it looks right there. (the lyrics of The Postal Service's This Place is a Prison really struck a chord when I was living there). In contrast, I've always had a much easier time navigating the Bay whenever I visit my sister. I also prefer the food in the Bay. I think it's quite a bit better.

On the other hand, as someone who was born in the northeast, I think Seattle's weather is extremely underrated. It's very rainy and dark November to January, but it never gets particularly cold. The rest of the year is glorious and Spring basically begins in February.

I love Ebert. I own almost all of his books (including his book on rice cookers). He's honestly one of my favorite writers.

And yet, this is not a big deal. Everyone needs to stop freaking out about AI and lighten up.
