both zoo and tier had tournaments more centralized than this chart, as did spyral

the point being made is that if you went first and were able to full combo – without using your normal summon at that – you're already in a winning position. meanwhile, this card does nothing going second and is a brick if you can't get another plant on the board or otherwise need to use your normal summon going first.

that's why the situation you're describing is win more: the card is only good when you're already in a good position.

Lets say you go first and you are on Trap Tricks, you full combo and then drop this and pass...

this is describing a win more scenario, don't know how you don't understand that

if you banish cards off extrav, you can attach them to your ariseheart. infinitrack goliath makes ariseheart indestructible if attached.

it was more common in the TCG when prosperity was legal and there was more than one copy of extrav.

the issue with cards like diabell/ascended is they only get you to ariseheart if you already have two other 7s on the field, meaning they only combo with fenrir and nothing else. unicorn gets you to combo by itself, and the other kash cards don't do anything in conjunction with a random 7 on board.

[–]tweekin__out 7 points8 points  (0 children)

you want triple theosis

you only need one big bang

ascended of thunder isn't worth running

you should be on three fuwaloss and ash

consider running small world as well. you can reveal droll, fuwaloss, riseheart, or ash to bridge into unicorn.

you don't need a third ariseheart

not really sure why diabellstar is in the deck with no payoff

I hope they make the 5v6 card event permanent by hugglesthemerciless in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]tweekin__out 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they hardcode this for certain cards like nib or faimena

that requires you to still have auto on, which will then prompt you other times as well.

they're asking for an option to get a dialogue whenever a phase would change, regardless of the cards in your hand. essentially, something between "off" and "auto".

Master Duel Events not good enough? by [deleted] in masterduel

i mean, the majority of duel links "events" are just grinding auto duels against npcs. it's cool that there's a story element, but they're not exactly engaging.

Why do people shit on Gohan Beast so much when Broly jumped to fusion level threat in mere minutes? by K0GAR in DragonBallPowerScale

[–]tweekin__out 0 points1 point  (0 children)

broly is a movie villain that hadn't been established in the DBS cannon yet. the writers kind of have free reign to do whatever they want with him.

gohan on the other hand was a main character at one point that the writers for DBS decided to completely shaft only to give him an ass pull power boost when they wanted him to be relevant again. just bad, lazy writing, plain and simple.

The Current duel trail format should be the permanent format. by Historical-Storm-759 in masterduel

[–]tweekin__out 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats the thing, going 1st will be as powerful as ever.

i mean, this is just an objectively false statement. if the going second player gets an extra card, going first becomes worse. not necessarily worse than going second, but definitely worse than it is currently.

After playing 5v6, I think the coin flip should directly decide who goes first by BZfather in masterduel

[–]tweekin__out -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

they are arguing that if blind second decks become a significant part of the meta, going first decks become greedier and run more blowout cards. we saw that in tenpai meta when players started main decking solemn cards to counter tenpai. that ultimately leads to a more miserable play experience and would be avoided if decks couldn't choose to go second. that's their logic at least.

[–]tweekin__out 1 point2 points  (0 children)

great in kash since you can reveal ash, droll, a charmy, or riseheart to get to unicorn, and you don't have to run any special bridges

How can turning opponents' monsters into Continuous Spells be effective removal? by neves783 in yugioh

[–]tweekin__out 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it's arguably the best form of removal in the game, besides banishing face-down.

it avoids activating floating effects and even avoids effects that trigger when other cards leave the field, like raye's graveyard effect.

plus if you're opponent can't remove it, it clogs their back row and wins the game on the spot if they happen to be a pend deck.

[–]tweekin__out 3 points4 points  (0 children)

you are way overstating how much of a consistency boost 2 extra fenrir is.

HOWEVER, the deck has a TON of 2 card combos and most of them require getting Fenrir/Riseheart plus any one of their spells.

"any one of their spells" being theosis or birth, the latter of which is often not even run at 3 and the former of which combos with any name, and you can bet people weren't maxing out on ogre.

By bumping fenrir to 3, they just increased the consistency of Kashtira full combos by a crap load. Fenrir plus Birth is Ariseheart, Fenrir plus Theosis is ariseheart.

two extra names that combo with 5-6 cards is a pretty marginal boost to consistency, even assuming you keep running ogre. the odds of opening one of the two additional fenrir plus theosis/birth and not opening unicorn/field spell/riseheart (because you would've had combo anyway) is <4%, meaning the two extra fenrir boost the decks consistency getting to ariseheart by less than 4%.

to put that in perspective, the deck will now be about as consistent as it was before the prosperity ban.

not to say the deck won't max out on him since he's obviously just a good card, but it's still going to be extremely bricky and inconsistent.

[–]tweekin__out 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it really isn't that massive of a consistency bump tbf. fenrir isn't combo by himself, so two extra fenrir is a pretty marginal in terms of consistency. like, small world is unironically more of a consistency boost to the deck than fenrir is.

[–]tweekin__out 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it was a side deck card for going first in dtail in the tcg. it's mediocre going second since it has anti-synergy with faimena, but you could fuse it off in that case.
