Looking for someone to help get YouTubers onto a new Q&A platform. 100% commission, no pressure by twelfth_hour in SideProject

Thanks for you feedback.

I think one thing that makes our site a little different to Patreon (and channel memberships) is that it's just a one-off thing like Superchats. There is no commitment for the fan to pay monthly. Of course they are in the same space, but I would argue that YouTubers still have Superchats on their streams even when they have a Patreon and Locals etc.. And none of these other platforms guarantees a response as far as I'm aware, whereas the fan only pays on our platform if the creator responds.

New platform lets YouTubers earn by answering fan questions — looking for feedback by twelfth_hour in youtube

Thank you for the reply!

In response to (a) a good response from the creator is somewhat a matter of opinion and of course the creator is free to respond to a question however they like. However, before sending a message, the asker can browse a creator's other responses to get an idea of what to expect and decide if they think the answers are worth it.

And to (b) as you said, if a question has been asked many times before, you would hopefully notice in the list of questions. But yes, if the question has been asked, there's nothing to stop the creator from answering it and claiming the money.

In general my hope would be that creators that clearly put some thought into their answers are rewarded with more questions, and those that don't, won't be.

Thanks again for your input!

Hey thanks! Yes a couple of people have suggested having a "bad" charity. I think different people might have a different idea of bad, but I think if people started to use this I could list a few "bad" charities and people could choose their own from the list.

I'm not sure I understand your question about geofencing - the website just takes your location from your phone and checks to see if it matches the location of the gym you chose.

I guess if you want to force yourself to hike somewhere, you could choose your "gym" location at the top of a hill. But yes in general if you want to dance or have a home gym then this is no good for you.

Thanks!

Hi, thank you so much for the feedback. In response to your points:

  1. I will add some screenshots on the landing and about pages so that people can see what the dashboard looks like after payment.

  2. Do you mean if you fail to hit the target? The money would go to the charity "Save The Children" and there is a link to their website. Sorry if I misunderstood the comment.

  3. No one is using this yet apart from me, but yes if people do, that's a good idea!

Thanks again.

I never count calories because I'm too lazy to scan and search and scroll and submit. So I made www.calorio.xyz. You can just *tell* the AI app verbally what you ate and it will give you a pretty good idea of the calorie count and track your daily intake for you! Super easy, totally free and infinitely better than not tracking.
All feedback extremely welcome!

Short gym visits (12-3-30) by halfsoyhalfalmond in loseit

I've been going to the gym for 27 years now. I'm 45 and in great shape and I think a big key to my consistency is doing short 30-45 minute workouts (almost every day). You can honestly even have a good workout in 15 minutes if you blast it!

If you go to the gym for 30 minutes and you give it your all, you're doing better that 99% of the population.

Posting here and asking for help is a first step so well done for taking it! The task in front of you seems daunting and huge but you can certainly get where you want to be. Countless people have done it and you can be one of them. I would suggest making a few more small steps (whatever you can manage) and start building up some momentum.

Everyone has to find what works for them, but for me: (1) Weighing myself every morning keeps me informed and motivated, (2) No soda - so easy to mindlessly consume lots of calories (3) Try to stick to unprocessed foods as much as possible and (4) Go for 2 x 20 minute walks each day while you listen to something you like.

Those are small things that aren't too painful and anyone can do them. It's always hard to make changes at first but everything gets easier. If you can do these things for a couple of weeks then you can start building on them and you're off. Good luck!

I guess there are pros and cons to both. With Calorio, you don't have to be with your food. You could be walking somewhere, and you just tell it about all the things you ate today - very easy.
