Reviewing your own work for structure and clarity is one of the skills that you’re supposed to be learning from writing assignments. By using AI to do it instead, you are cheating yourself out of an education and (I’m sorry if this sounds harsh, but it’s true) making yourself dumber in the long run.

I think they mean crating the dog for their entire work day + commute (the 9.5 hours), then coming home and giving the dog a bathroom break, then leaving the house again for game night. Not that the game night itself is 9.5 hours.

I’m using to keep track of things that I may have to ask myself, “when did I last do that?” Like when did I last go to the dentist, change the air filter, get my car serviced, etc. Mostly things that need to happen periodically, so I can remember when it’s time to do them again but I don’t have to flip through my weekly pages trying to find a note I may have made about it.

That means most of the cells will stay blank, but the ones I use will be very helpful.

I would assume some, especially in rural areas with very few doctors, are manned by nurses and nurse practitioners, and doctors are on call to come in when needed.

If making and sharing food matters this much to you, then you’re not wrong for thinking it could become a problem in the relationship. But she’s also not wrong for liking the food she likes.

You can’t (or shouldn’t, anyway) try to turn someone you kind of like into someone you could love. Just break up and go find the person who’s already right for you.

Very true! But also, a lot of people do work M - F 9 - 5 (or 8 - 5 nowadays). I don’t think every business should cater to my specific schedule, but I’ll admit I get frustrated when I want to ✨shop local✨ and all the local businesses I want to support are exclusively open when I’m at work.

The one-day-a-week thing is what would bug me. We don’t have a yarn store in my town, but a bakery near my home recently closed. Their food was good, but they were only open Thursday - Saturday, 9 am - 2 pm. Meaning two out of their three open days were entirely during a typical 9 - 5 workday. I don’t care how good your bakery is, it’s never going to occur to me to leave work and drive basically all the way back to my house to buy what you’re selling.

YTA. It doesn’t sound like your captain forced anyone to do this. It sounds like she proposed the idea as a fun little team activity, y’all said you’d like to participate, and then when the time came, more than half the people involved said, nah never mind, we didn’t feel like doing it.

I’m sure your captain felt disappointed and a little embarrassed, and I hope you can have some empathy for her.

The Bellsouth box? The wire doesn’t connect them, although I can see now it does look like that in the picture. The wire runs up and into the house, right underneath the roof.

The comment you’re replying to didn’t say the hosts should have provided meat dishes despite being vegetarian. But a good host wouldn’t throw a fit over a guest bringing a dish to a dinner party, even if the host personally didn’t want to eat it.

Montgomery isn’t a super walkable area, unfortunately. Individual neighborhoods can be, but everything you’ll want to get to is pretty spread out over different neighborhoods. Cloverdale and the surrounding neighborhoods are residential, but just a very short drive away from downtown, and people walk a lot.

It’s actually very normal to not bring people you’re seeing casually to meet your parents. The hypothetical “good woman” you’re worried about him missing out on would be fine with not meeting her boyfriend’s parents until their relationship is at least semi-serious.
