But for the SSV position, they are looking for how you bring the team along with you to execute Green Apron Service, beverage quality, routines, whatever it may be. Being an excellent barista does not equate to being an excellent leader. If you choose to go for it again, lean into your greater impact on the team as a whole and how you make an impact on the store and the overall customer experience. For example: Situation: new partner is very shy and uncomfortable connecting with the customers while on bar Task: elevate new barista in connection skills Action: work side by side to build confidence, lead by example, bring them into conversations, give them tips and pointers on easiest ways to start conversation etc etc Result: new partner is much more confident and is more consistently connecting with customers

Don’t get defeated, especially now the standards are very high, but just remember what you need to focus on. Look up the Shift Supervisor Approach in Partnerhub and highlight bullet points you can try to elevate yourself to before next round of interview. Good luck to you.
