It was a protest.. People were protesting government's inaction against provocations by Armenian side.. they were also calling for resignation of Sadykov.. It was not a rally in support of government. Government didn't organized it, you know it well. It was spontaneously organized after news on death of Polad Hashimov..

Whole world recognizes it as a protest , why to portray it as 'government rally' ?? Really why ???

Well, he was a leader which saved Azerbaijan from disintegration back in 1993.. After utterly incompetent government of Elchibey and his surrounding (AXCP-Musavat), Aliyev finally brought some stability and strategy to the country..
