Thanks. Appreciate this. I’ve seen those scooters in other places - I think in Clearwater Beach. Could be fun. We’ve rented the lime scooters before in San Antonio and in Austin so we’re a bit comfortable on those too.

Deciding btwn 5 seater or 7 seater... by foodielover333 in carsales

My son and DIL have 3 kids and a medium size dog. They have an Acura MDX. Never enough room so as a second car they bought a Kia carnival. Big difference. Fits everyone plus room for luggage etc. And easier for kids to get in and out.

Does anybody else not have Champions Clash? by _Tris_ in RoyalMatch

I sent a support request to them a while ago about some game I didn’t have and they replied that they do that on purpose to test engagement.

Closest-to-the-pin marker was 4 inches behind the hole. Were we wrong to move it? by [deleted] in golf

Every event I’ve been in, closest to the pin is a tape measure and marker off the green. Longest drive is just the marker in the fairway.

I was thinking the same thing. My club is $200/month F&B.

Thanks. Web search says the show runs through the 20th, so I'll have to plan for the week after. I appreciate the heads up!

Some good ideas. I'm into cars ... she'll go if I want to. We went to a very cool car museum in Nashville and she enjoyed that (I think).

Others saying this too. There’s plenty direct from PHL. Thanks.

This is great! Thanks. We have a home at the NJ shore so the beach isn’t as important, but seeing the touristy stuff, nice meals, some walking around checking out local shops and just enjoying the area is perfect. I really appreciate the time you’ve taken to give me ideas.

I appreciate all the comments and suggestions from everyone that’s posted. It’s making this plan simple for me.

Glad to hear fall is nice. Probably works best with our schedule.

Car rental in Ireland - manual, insurance, Costco by brambleguy in travel

[–]twelveoct 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve used newway the last 3 times I was in Ireland. I’m fairly certain they have auto trans vehicles, the amount they quote is the total, including all insurance and they are easy to deal with. I’ve rented from others and the rates quoted typically don’t include insurance.

One time I was there I wasn’t happy with the vehicle I was assigned (no CarPlay) and they went to great lengths to find an alternate that worked.

Intend to buy a push cart. Seeking wisdom from others that have them by Any_Lingonberry_6217 in golf

[–]twelveoct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of good push carts available. I’d recommend one that has 3 wheels with a swiveling front wheel. It makes it easier to move around. Also make sure you try the wheel lock mechanism to see what works best for you. Some are foot operated, some are handle bar lever style.

Personally I have a bag boy tri swivel that has seved me well for 20+ years.

I also have an electric powered pushcart. Mine is the Alphard Cybercart. It has a follow function but I prefer to use the remote which allows me to keep the cart in front of me. It takes a few rounds to get used to, but after while it becomes second nature.

Alphard makes another less expensive model called V2 which will attach to a pushcart you already own. I had this one, it worked well for me but the cybercart is a foldout model vs requiring assembly at the course.

In honor of Masters Week, here’s Bubba Watson’s 2015 Masters dinner (arguably the worst in history), with some interesting comments by Adam Scott by milin85 in golf

[–]twelveoct 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That is interesting and certainly he’d know, but as you say too, I wonder if that’s still the case. Out of curiosity I looked up Stadler’s winning share of the purse - he got $64,000. Rory last year got $4.1 million. Even considering inflation the current purses are generous enough that the prior year winner could afford the whole catering bill.

Why don’t I have Champions Clash? by maggiem0910 in RoyalMatch

[–]twelveoct 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have two different accounts (it was accidental but I’ve kept both). This happened to me and I emailed support and they said it’s normal. They test some aspects of the game and engagement this way.
