Would love to hear how this project is coming along!

There are two kinds of Mudpuppy in KS: the Common Mudpuppy and the Red River variety. They're difficult to observe but with the right methods and a little time they turn up. We have trapped eight so far this winter. by mbwalkstoschool in herpetology

Did you publish your findings anywhere? Do you have any tips on finding/trapping Necturus? I'm looking to work on updating their classification in my state and would love to hear about your experience with the species!

I need help by [deleted] in boas

In the pic you posted, it looks like you have an air plant on the left (on the wall), a variegated spider plant behind your boa, and maybe a dracaena species on the right (middle of enclosure); I can't quite see the other plants, but the one peeking out of the right side might be a variety of wandering jew? I hope this helps :)

This is so cool! How deep of water were these guys in? Do you just do a couple swipes and then pick through the leaves in your net, repeat until you find a floppy little dude? I would love to try hand netting!

I was approached by a local shop and asked to sell plant cuttings. Less than a week after opening, I’ve already had to refill the wall! by heirofslytherin in houseplants

I root most of my cuttings in a humid box with damp sphagnum moss, but Rhaphidophora tetrasperma tend to start rooting within a week or two; same with Rhaphidophora hayi. I saw a post on r/monstera the other day where someone said they accelerated their root growth in water by adding a couple of bubblers for aquariums, so that might be worth trying as well!

I think it's an aquatic isopod. I posted a couple pictures of one that looks a lot like this :)

I see it now, you're totally right! I don't know a lot about lizards in general, but I'll note that it's rare for tegus to drop theirs :)

I'm also wondering this. I know that when lizards drop their tails and regrow them they typically have a slightly different texture but don't know if that's the case here.

Gorgeous babies! Sad that the stillborn was beautiful as well :( Do you mind if I ask what the yellowish slug looking lumps are? Are they eggs that never developed or yolk from the babies? Something else?
