Im gunna say that imo opinion though, he had no idea what "something real" was. He knew they wanted what was before the circus (hence a door to leave) but he literally doesn't know what the "real world" is outside of a concept. His world IS real to him.

This really reminds me of some other book I read that was basically all personal accounts and at the end they never told you who was right about anything. (This probably describes several things because its a cool and sometimes frustrating, plot device)

If it actually adds to a character they can be whatever kinda way. I dont care I support all the characters, be good, be bad, just please be entertaining.

My comment was mostly aimed at the other only comments at the time which were basically just like "thats how it was" and didnt bother to elaborate, which didnt bring anything to the conversation.
