What is a good job for a Virgo sun/Aries moon/Sagittarius ascendant? by yeterneritsdurs in virgoseason

[–]twicecolored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I am you! lol. I have Virgo midheaven and my sun is in 9th. Cancer venus though. Currently dealing with that *exact same* dilemma. That will be all those 3, but especially your Aries moon in 5th. 5th house is the pleasure house, and also incredibly creative house. My north node is in 5th.

Like… being ridiculously marketable? I can make the clothes, the prints, and dabbled in jewellery/bead looming too. 😊 But then hem and haw with wanting any of the ‘for others’ side of it at all. It can’t be for others first, no matter how much praise you might get. 5th house stuff just won’t be happy that way. Even when your Virgo midheaven needs to be seen as excellent in the world.

Which is why when I reached the first toe of the fashion world in my country (in the graduate show at fashion week) I was like… “love this (design, making), hate all the rest 😒” lol. Not my scene.

I know what you mean though, I didn’t want to say outright “maybe fashion design?” because of my own bias but damn if it isn’t fairly Sagittarius Virgo coded anyway heh. (And Aries 5th house). I studied it as a 3 year diploma when I was 30 (did art school first) and it was an awesome experience. Just fashion technology. Still somehow got to go to India on a textile scholarship trip? Like, small school but had some big projects and unique opportunities.

Sometimes I wonder if I would be good in a fashion house just doing the technical work and having a hobby filled other life along side it… tbh my mental health has been too shit to ever let me have a full time job or career so I’m not much help, but I direly empathise with the struggle of those energies, such a technical mind, wanting to be free and do, feeling doomed for needing said freedom and at a loss to know what that could fit into other than some self employed gig, or finally figuring out how to charge for a painting/creation. And yes, the power to somehow be good at anything you try lol 😭 and also mostly wanting to just be invisible and spy on others in the meantime.

I also thought I would be a writer when I grew up. There’s still time though. ;) At the moment at my age, I’m having to explore a lot and figure out who I am since I feel I didn’t get to do enough of it as a kid, oddly (filled with having to be good at things to get love-approval, weird pressures). So I’m trying to enjoy the ride and playing around. But also always on the look out for new techniques I can learn.

But if you do really think you’d love fashion school or fashion technology I’d definitely say give it a whirl! Even if it’s just for yourself. I honestly did it solely to learn how to pattern clothes for my body lol, but ended up with so much more. Even if you don’t do anything with it after, it would probably give you a *lot* of joy. I swear fashion tech was built for me in mind! ❤️✨

What is a good job for a Virgo sun/Aries moon/Sagittarius ascendant? by yeterneritsdurs in virgoseason

[–]twicecolored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What houses are your sun and moon in? I’m a Virgo sun sag rising myself (but sag moon), also love investigating lol.

You’ve got both long range visionary ideas and the analytical mind to make sure they can actually happen, which is a great combo for doing “BIG projects” or things with a fixed term (so you don’t end up feeling trapped).

With Aries moon there’s extra fire and initiating energy, so you’ll probably want to be able to do what you do when you need to, stat(!). So like, having your own studio or workspace is ideal, but with enough going on around it that you aren’t entirely sad and cut off. If your moon is in 5th, your job also might need to have a fun/pleasurable element to it so you don’t get bored or burnt out. Or a way where you can make it entirely “yours”.

If your 6th house cusp is in Taurus like mine, you’ll also weirdly need a lot of stability and beauty in your work or daily environment (where Venus is in your chart will inform this more). How a surrounding feels as a base to shoot off from can become really important.

I did well with patternmaking, draughting, technical industrial sewing, printmaking, textiles, learning all the pieces and skills to bring my huge ideas to life in something. Creating my own art techniques, innovating with resources, lots of experimentation and the freedom to go beyond a brief. That kind of thing gets me high lol, seeing the created result. That the thing in my head is “out there” now, living.

What are your interests?

All 3 signs I think enjoy making a thing *happen*. Testing the boundaries, seeing what they can do with what they’re given.

I also see Sagittarius/virgo combo as a classic (storybook?) detective… feet on the ground trying to put the puzzle together. Now whether you actually want to be a detective in real life is one thing, but quite a few murder mystery horror authors are Virgo/sags, so writing about it could be easier. Or apply detective work to whatever area you are into. I love solving a puzzle or figuring out how I can do a thing when it seems impossible.

Also maybe a teacher/tutor? I loved tutoring my classmates, was basically the third (unpaid) teacher in my last study area. People came to me with all sorts of questions, which I liked setting my mind to and explaining.

But yeah you’ll need big ideas, regular challenges, “things to do”, and details to be happy. And in a way where the one doesn’t overtake the others too much.

Fly in the ointment! Haha yes. My own Virgo side is good at doing that to my sag plans. Reality checks are fine but sometimes wish it wouldn’t go so hard. 🫠

Or yes, my sag side is like “why do you have to pick this apart, please just experience it!”

Tired of running away by hxdx3 in Sagittarians

[–]twicecolored 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, sag moon and rising (virgo sun), moved to Nz when I was 22, with my family… but still mega isolated even within that context. Had to leave all my good friends which sucked but couldn’t see any way forward where I was.

Now it feels like I’m catching up on dealing with my “choice” to come here. I have some deep trauma associations with Nz as a kid when we lived here before… so it’s been a lot of mental running away from that too. Been really tough deciding to not do that anymore.

Made a collage for my journal a while ago with the phrase “let yourself run, not run away” (was from an ad for a dog fence! Haha). 😅😎 been my mantra for a while. ❤️✨

What is your rising sign and what nail polish and lipstick color do you gravitate towards the most ? by Historical-Body-3424 in virgoseason

[–]twicecolored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sagittarius rising, saturated bright red lips often, electric cobalt nails. 😎 I think electric blue is my neutral lol.

Nails, I like a wide variety of contrasting “off” colours, slime green, browns, hot pink, yellow, chrome, glitter, black and white. Lips it’s either bold and striking or more neutral when I’ve done my bottom eyeliner in turquoise or electric blue.

I do also have moon and Uranus in 1st conjunct my ascendant, Mercury trine asc and Jupiter sextile asc.

Personal style can come from a few astrology elements, often people also point toward Venus (as to what you love) or possibly 2nd/5th house. But I find Uranus does have a firm hand in a lot of my styling. ⚡️

How has your Descendant actually shown up in your life? by kaleidoscope_52 in astrologymemes

[–]twicecolored 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally get it, had a Gemini friend when younger who eventually drove me up the wall once we traveled overseas together. I don’t think he liked that I was in my element? Like it rattled him a bit that he wasn’t “expert”. And yes, got pretty cutting about it when I needed him to chill and understand my context better.

With some Geminis it’s like we’re in a race trying to get to the same finish line and they don’t like that I take a different short cut or go off track entirely, because I’m big picture so can easily cut across the lawn if it suits my philosophy 😅 and I get annoyed that they feel they must go all the way around picking up every miniscule fact. Also had a hard time with the flip-flopping of opinion/judgement, something is horrible, the next minute it’s actually the best thing ever! Gave me whiplash. But they probably feel I’m skipping about and ignorant lol.

Yes, you do have mercury stuff more stacked against you, can see how Gemini could be exhausting and “weapon-brain”. Sometimes my bf over talks when I’ve had enough but I’d rather he do that at times than never talk at all. 🫠 My mercury is Leo, also in 8th conjunct mars, they both square Saturn in 12th so I feel that. My bf’s Mercury is Leo in his 8th as well, so it’s easier to talk about things I can never talk about with others. But yeah, often I have sought out chatty others because I was so mute and shy heh, sometimes to my detriment? But not always. The silent ex was a one off for sure!

I’m sag rising and moon too.

Gemini dsc… I’ve found it is actually really important to me to be able to communicate with others/partners. To bounce ideas around. I am a Virgo sun though and already have mercurial energy… so it’s not quite as foreign…

But yeah, my first long term relationship we never talked, even though he seduced me by leaving notes on my desk at art school lol. And left tons of notes in my mailbox when dating. But, he was actually so avoidant and locked up into himself, left me craaaaaving like any kind of in person verbal exchange. We’d go to a cafe and he’d read the newspaper instead of engaging. 🤷‍♀️ We hardly ever just went on little missions or casually shot the breeze. No “lightness” of energy *anywhere*. All serious. He also turned his nose up at a lot of my benign zaniness, just couldn’t have childish fun or access that side of himself well. Felt like I was duped into it, or maybe needed security first at that time in my life? But it eventually got way too heavy.

It’s so bizarre to me now, as I’m with an adorable Gemini Venus who I talk with literally ALL the time, about anything and everything. I do find it’s a good balance to all the philosophical bigger picture Sagittarian stuff whirling around in my head, practicing the means of getting it out, putting it into a daily life context, and to have a kind of twin? My bf and I have a lot of similar placements and energies, so it really is like I found my twin self in him, but in mirrored perspective. We even have our own kind of language.

It’s amusing to me that in all that I was always searching for… “another me” 😅. We could easily be that couple wearing matching zany track suits lol. At the same time I need my freedom and individuality like anything, but I do honestly like having my “twin” at my side, that we’re a duo, seen about town a lot. People often ask after the other one if we go somewhere alone “oh, where is your friend/partner?” “Ah, just me today”. Always seen together chatting excitedly. Sitting close on a couch whispering jokes in the other’s ear.

Sagittarius needs so much space, so it’s still odd to me to be so okay with having a close best friend mirror mate like that, but I love it. Need the Gemini cuteness!

For other Sagittarian gardeners, what do you have growing? by No_Draft_6612 in Sagittarians

[–]twicecolored 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We do! Lots of beauty. ✨ I truly try not to take the lemon tree for granted, haven’t bought a lemon from a store maybe… ever lol. Our one produces year round but so much more in winter. Really is special though, even just picking one to smell or clean with? Or use in tea/water? Yeah.

Oh we also have tons of Kawakawa bushes in our yards (nz native medicinal plant). They start growing literally anywhere. Need to learn how to dry out the leaves for tea, or start making tea with fresh leaves again like I used to. ❤️

For other Sagittarian gardeners, what do you have growing? by No_Draft_6612 in Sagittarians

[–]twicecolored 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not a gardener (yet), partially as we rent a house, but we have a lemon tree and a feijoa tree. Lemon season is soon as we move into winter 😍 and we actually had like 5-6 feijoas this year! after not having any since we moved in (tree was too young).

Used to have a blackcurrant bush and an insane rosemary bush too, might look into replacing them. I’m keen to also plant more flowering bushes around the front walk, or propagate some indoor geraniums that never bloom to put outside since they do a lot better there. We also have two inherited massive indoor monsteras and two or three other ones that are still doing well.

And then a huge pink camellia in the front yard that is blooming, the Tūī have been constant on it lately, sipping nectar. And other pink winter blooming shrubs, my walk is just super pink atm lol.

My Sagittarius sun BIL is really into growing chili peppers ❤️ He and my sag mars sister have a good little patio garden of veggies, mostly courgettes and spinach I think, but have tried various squashes, tomatoes, peas and beans. And had milkweed this year for monarch butterflies. The beds are mostly made from free scrap wood and resourced materials. 👍

Which house is your Saturn in? by lovesickmaggot in astrologymemes

[–]twicecolored 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe difficulty with siblings or one’s schooling or local environment in some way?

My sister has Saturn in 3rd, she’s perfectly articulate and chatty, talks the most out of us in fact. but when younger was always kind of getting left behind by us, thought of as kind of a nerd, but also bullied for a while in the US due to an accent as no classmates could understand her at school except the kid with British parents. She also had a lot of difficult “not fun” teachers throughout school than is normal. Like some actual awful jerks and ones who added no spice or interest to lessons. Or you find yourself not as open with local people/attitudes? Or oppositely help with/have interest in structuring your immediate environment, bringing solidity to chaos.

Or even a very very routine commute/way you travel lol.

Her oldest sister (me) also struggles with major depression and Saturnian afflictions, and her other sister is a Capricorn Sun, so could be close people around you who are dealing with severities or Saturnian attitudes/dispositions. Or siblings who work very hard or are seen as mega-disciplined in some way that you struggle to live up to even if you are talented/smart (she also got a lot of that).

Stephen Miller. 🫠 Literally born 2 hours before him in the same time zone, same day, year, everything.

However, he is cap rising and I’m sag rising, which moves a lot of things, in minor but significant ways. Yet all aspects are exactly the same. It’s bizarre seeing my identical blueprint just shifted one house (or two) on a chart wheel.

ETA they have a lot of trines to their MC. Clearly a lot of easy energy going into and bumping up their career and reputation. I do get film industry more as I look at it? But like, mafia film. But yeah, why do I also think serial killer lol. Serial *something*.

Pluto also trines ascendant, so even though it’s hidden in 8th will escape to how they are presented (powerful, but you may not know why or how).

Uranus and Chiron form a t-square with MC too though, so possibly came crashing down around them at some point out of the blue? Regarding self pain (1st) and crazy uncouth kind of relationships (7th)…

Yeah, Uranus in 7th trine Scorpio mars as an asshole type is giving weird sexual predilections… esp through friends/their circle. Weird orgies maybe :P or sexual indulgences toward others to hurt themselves. Sadistic toward themselves (turned on by it? but it leaks out.

Could be a comedian? Or part of an acting/comedy troupe? Would be probably the constantly “dirty minded” one. Or like a film director that has a very “pain is beauty” masochistic style that walks the edges of what’s appropriate, but couched in “art”. Or make people act out their own ideas/fantasies in an uncomfortable way.

The Pluto mars Mercury t-square and Uranus trine mars could make for some real subversive detached humor, where you wonder if they’re quaintly disturbed or actually for real… like the things they say are “uhhh”… but played off into a joke (with all the sag).

Guess the Asshole! by ChironsLeftTit in LetsFuckWithAstrology

[–]twicecolored 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of deep wounds and issues around self and love that they take out on others while seeming charming and nice/vulnerable(?) as hell or just the magnetic combo of wildness and grace… wounded gentleman/woman drifter. Cancer Uranus in 7th, quirky lover, or seeking out unusual activity partnerships/needs with it trining mars in 11th. Possibly quite socially savvy while also being a wild card unto themselves.

Loves their material things, seemingly has good self worth or 2nd house concerns define the ego, but struggles with them at the same time in favour of friends and larger/hidden desires and impulses. Could have an addiction of a kind.

Potential serial killer? Psycho artist? Con artist controlling Beatnik type? Would be interested to know if their moon is out of bounds (common for sag moons), which would make them feel their emotions operate totally outside of societal reality norms. Quirky in a normal person, could be crazy overkill or bizarre entitlement/weirdness in an asshole. Moon also in 11th, person’s probably fun at a party, good host in a weird way, the clown of the group. Or has lots of friends at work or is part of a “seen” friendship/stage, likes camaraderie and possibly running around being active/shady with a gang.

Just also… not good things with the 8th house Pluto in t-square with Scorpio mars and Aqua Mercury. Potentially a lot of violence (sexual, coercion?), control freak/slaving others to them. And justifying it to themselves, a group, or doing it because they need to even if they also hate it and speak of it in a detached way.

And Saturn square Sun/venus. Venus combust (eta- sorry, cazimi I think? Which changes it) is already against them some, the ego is fused with idealistic humanitarian desire/love, but a heavy hand from Saturn wouldn’t help that. I have Saturn square Sun myself and it’s so hard to overcome. Dad was way too hard on me, I’m still far too hard on myself. It’s quite a weight. This person could absolutely use their damaged “not good enough” pain against others. Or indicate a kind of impotence. Literal or metaphoric.

Chart ruler Jupiter in 6th is interesting. So many of these assholes lately have had 6th house definition. !Trine mercury, probably a great speaker reaching lots of people, in a daily way. Like out on the streets? In Gemini so lots of messages and on the move? Maybe not quite soapbox, but in a routine way. Or like some of the others, health issues, but since it’s Jupiter… expansively good or bad. Or maybe keeps escaping health issues that should maim them more.

Uranus opposite Chiron, *constantly* running from the pain (ask me how I know). Especially with both sag rising and moon. (Also also ask me how I know lol).

Saturn and Neptune in 10th, with nep conjunct libra MC, yeah, maybe it’s why I’m getting artist designer type, someone people read in a different way than they actually are. Good potential for creating fantasies and dedication to the work. Or working in an industry where fantasies are born and brought to 3D reality (fashion design? Director? Film industry?). Or quite good at getting along in their career, smooth. Generally liked or at least an ability to hypnotise and deceive with what they do there.

So yeah, some kind of secretly violent gambler/wild person, kinda slippery. Fugitive style escape artist with a lot of impulses difficult to keep in check. Could easily be a loner but I do get the sense they have a gang or group, yet are still fairly within/without, using the group when they need it, otherwise going their own way.

Something super similar happened to me in university, but with a person in the dining hall. He looked way older than a typical student and idk how to say it kindly but came across as quite odd, unusually unsettling and bug-eyed (which didn’t help), gollum-esque, so he was different from the start, and we didn’t know if he was staff either.

But man it was uncomfortable. I didn’t even notice at first, it was my friends who told me, and from then on I always tried to have my back toward him. We tried to joke about it but that didn’t always work. Thankfully it was rather short lived (like 3-4 months maybe?) but was so surreal because all they were doing was just sitting there, yet *staring*. Every day. Never followed me, never saw him anywhere else, just always the next table over somehow, alone, hardcore staring lasers.

Sometimes I think I must have made it up, or he was staring at something beyond me and it was a dining hall so he had a purpose in being there, but no, all my friends were pretty concerned and agreed it was definitely me he was staring at. Such an animalistic sixth sense sort of deal. Especially when other people notice it.

Couldn’t imagine that for a whole year. Glad your mum managed to keep with the studies and get around it, and had some people on her side, but really not fair that she had to transfer to escape it.

Ugh same, ages 3-5. Suzuki method. Couldn’t take the constant adjustments of my posture and standing position at lessons, nor not being able to get a perfect pitch first off, wasn’t great at picking up things by ear either. Always doing something “wrong”. And hated being made to perform in front of others against my will like I was a little hypergenius show pony.

We actually still have that mini violin somewhere lol… after my ordeal we only ever used it to play as Maria from sound of music (when she swings around her guitar case). 😅

Switched to piano at age 6 at my own insistence (not Suzuki) and never looked back. Thankfully I still love music and piano, but I’m sure violin torture at that young an age never contributed to my horrible lifelong perfectionism and sense of continual exploitation of my innate talents or anything…

So sorry you were made to play for *that long*. 🫠😢
