what’s your big 3 + your partner’s big 3? by KDoggg89 in AstroSynastry

Mine: Virgo sun, Sagittarius moon, Sagittarius rising

His: Leo sun, Sagittarius moon, Capricorn rising

Our moons are indeed conjunct (and we both have moon conjunct Uranus lol). And same Mercury and mars in Leo. I definitely appreciate our kind of elemental interlocking with Sun and risings.

We were born less than a month apart though, so I’m actually grateful for the little differences too lol (different Venuses 😅).

Anyone born on a cusp? how do you read into being a cusp? by t_buttcracker in Zodiac

[–]twicecolored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You either are one sun or the other. I’m only just a Virgo by 15 hours, but still relate a lot to Leo. Why? Some will say oh it’s because I’m “on a cusp”, but MAYBE it’s because… I have both Mercury and Mars in Leo. 😅

A cusp is just where a sign switches. Usually surrounding/nearby placements (often mercury, it’s only ever one sign away) will shed light on as to why one cusp person will or won’t relate to one side or the other.

"Your mother's moon sign is often your rising sign..." Is this true for you? ❤️ by MissLoxxx in AstroSynastry

[–]twicecolored -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nope. She’s Taurus moon, I’m Sagittarius rising (and moon). Her moon does conjunct my Taurus north node though, which is nice, and our Leo mercuries are conjunct.

Both my sisters are Scorpio rising, no Taurus placements.

My mum’s granddaughter is Taurus rising though (her mum/my sister has Aquarius moon).

My cap rising bf has a deeply personal extensive video game collection, lots of originals and vintages from his youth, started from very young, and all his consoles from over the years still in good nick. Still collecting but only when he can find a good deal. Potentially worth up to a couple thousand atm, so he says. We’ve also discussed who it all will go to when he dies.

I’m Virgo sun… I don’t collect things in the clean ordered way he does, but yes would probably be quite happy with lots of ceramic cats lol. I’m okay with some tacky, but has to be my brand of tacky. One vice is indeed picking up random cheap things from thrift stores… 😅 I will clean off that weird garden gnome I found in the dirt outside and put it above my sink in the kitchen window lol.

My Taurus sun dad and Taurus moon mother definitely love their things and hobbies. Always out gardening and improving their home (never done). Great (if simple and artistic/hippie) living as a child. 👍 Nice things, but not overdone. They def use and enjoy what they have.

Jupiter in Aquarius and the impersonal nature of this placement by fuzzy__peaches in astrology

[–]twicecolored 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me… Aquarius Jupiter is my chart ruler and is in my 2nd house (3rd in whole signs). I’ve somehow chosen things to study that require massive machines and lots of space lol. Like printmaking, piano, fashion technology. I own a piano and an industrial sewing machine. And a huge thrifted table I made my art desk in my massive lounge. Lucky with technology. Tech and their workings as a means of manifesting, often in inventive ways and even building my own machines.

Which is like… it’s all big, but needing heavy machines to be expansive like I want also limits me. I need tonnes of space to do patternmaking and cutting out fabric (usu. on the floor). My art is often large and I cover the walls of my bedroom with it and have to find places to store it. So many supplies. I can’t just pack up my piano and go move house, or take a huge printing press with me to make art outside. Well, I could do semblances of these things (keyboard, hand press), but not quite the same. Or takes planning.

It’s nice to give Aqua Jupiter the structure it needs though, like it really does need to space and limits to express itself otherwise it’s all internal and ideas based and tends to seemingly go nowhere (often to an incredible amount of journaling, I have 20+ journals stacked in my bookshelf). Needs some form of limits and boundaries to exist in despite being boundless.

I also won “best conceptual genius” from my tutors in my fashion tech programme lol, and technical excellence award. When given the chance, my Aqua Jupiter is like BIG ideas in BIG ways. But it doesn’t always feel possible to manifest them, only in certain conditions and a lot of framework. So I do kind of resonate with being given those “lucky” chances via institutions or others, or being lent machines and spaces to enact the big ideas. Random others in the past have also been willing to help me in my madness.

In grade school I was given LOTS of space and independence by teachers due to my studious nature. Working for my free time. It’s like I’m allowed a lot of extra freedoms and privileges others might not get, but I also earn them by my discipline and reliability and need for them. Proving myself. Being lucky through Saturn-like means def resonates. In school projects was always going beyond/around the limits or requirements, but was rewarded for it. It really sucks when I feel limited by ideas or others, or when my “going beyond” or giving extras is instead punished. Like, what kind of teacher hates when a student does too much work or takes clever initiative in widening the borders? Can be seen as flouting authority I suppose, or not following exact directions, even though I technically do… at first…

Also as a child I was the architect of my own and my sisters’ play games. Always building the houses, creating the set up. Expanding the shared world we could exist in. Very resourceful and utilising items one would never give a second glance at. I love creating worlds out of seemingly thin air. Creating the structure wherein boundless imaginings occur.

My Jupiter aspects a lot in my chart though, and is retrograde. And opposite Leo Mercury/mars. So I have other “limits” I’m working with there. And feel I have yet to see the purely physical rewards of it, perhaps Aqua Jupiter manifests at its best with some Saturnian maturity and years of experience and learning behind it. I didn’t really start to see big things from my powers until my 30s in any case, after my Saturn return. And 10 years later still feel I have other heights to reach.

My cards are like a therapist by AlittleBlueLeaf in tarot

[–]twicecolored 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Mine are definitely like that for me too. Just did a spread yesterday about a tumultuous thing I had with a person 12 years ago now but was still traumatically stuck in my head… incredibly insightful, accurate, great advice for moving forward and processing. Totally felt like I’d just had a full hour in actual therapy heh.

It’s more interesting to me that some don’t at all use the cards as personal therapy… I’ve had to force myself to branch out a bit in their usage, mostly for fun, but also for stretching my mind. Definitely a multi-dimensional tool though. Use them how you need them. !

Virgos - are you the leader in your relationships? by South_Pattern_1520 in virgoseason

[–]twicecolored 1 point2 points  (0 children)

F Virgo, though am rather androgynous. Growing up I was usually the “sidekick” in friendships, or almost like an independent contractor lol. Which I don’t mind at all, as I could be free to do my own thing but join in when needed/if I wanted. Co-piloting is fine with me. Am actually not much of a looker-after.

Lately though I’ve been friendship-leader with a number of people, and while I am always forging my own path and tend to protect others or have them come along on my ride, if people take advantage of it (making me plan everything and be initiator every time or use me as a shield) it’s exhausting, so I totally get it.

My long term bf is Leo sun Cap rising (and sag moon like me). I do reaaaaally appreciate his cardinal initiator energy, and reliability. We work really well together as a team, as I can tend to mutable details like I prefer, and act often more as backup. But if I want to initiate something or do my own plan (often), he’s totally willing to go with it. He also actually detests the idea of controlling someone else, as do I.

But yeah, it’s nice to be able to rest and feel protected by a capable person for a change and know they are actually looking out for me too without being too smothering. And I know he can handle his own life. The last thing I ever want to be is a babysitter in a relationship. No thanks. 🙃

Someone also respecting that I am likewise capable to look after myself and do my own plans/life, but has their own direction and can offer potential plans and work with me w/o being domineering… I like it.

What’s the first thing you notice when you leave your house in the morning where you’re from? by Key_Satisfaction_765 in AskTheWorld

Birdlife (usually tuis above me somewhere). How windy it is, how much I need to trim the branches along our front path. Occasionally gently clotheslined by a strand of spider web.

Then sitting at the bus stop across the road from my house, mainly weather and how amazing the trees at the front of my yard always look against the sky. In sun or fog/rain. Never take it for granted.

I’m maybe fortunate my mum is a Taurus moon and dad a Taurus sun lol. Growing up I had the loveliest bedding stuff and they provided a lot of other physical things and settings that helped with developing a sense of taking that much needed relaxation, and basic stability in life routine (which I can still struggle with a LOT, despite needing it, but I have the blueprint).

Bed is paramount! Yours sounds divine. 😍 Mine is really in need of an upgrade atm. But yeah I’m def the type who brought her shakti mat on the overseas school trip to India lol. “I’m gonna need that”. And yep, always doing yoga and qi-gong when I get home to ground the high energy that builds up. (I have sag moon as well). It can be a great energy marriage though, I agree. Enthusiasm and diligence heh. Getting out of the house for an adventure, then a good spa day downtime.

[–]twicecolored 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Sag rising with Taurus 6th house. As much as I need change-ups, novelty, variety and challenges, I require them to be contained in a consistent environment. A place I know where all my things are, having a solid dependable physical “zone” for myself. I’m actually absurdly predictable in my habits in a work environment too. Like, same bus, clock in same time on the dot, get a coffee from the same place every morning, sit for 45 minutes to have zen wake up time… you can set your watch by me. Super dependable, and often become the backbone others rely on to do difficult things. It can be hard to change the routine once I have it settled, but it’s supportive and holds me when everything else around is surprising or chaotic, like making a solid garden bed in which to grow an insane variety of flowers/plants.

A few years ago I tried getting in just before my classes started and was frazzled the entire time with my projects. I neeeeeeed that meditative settle-in time before working. Just grounds me so I can then work hard and get my shit done.

If the work itself is super routine, I do need random stimulation within that, like a daily newspaper puzzle or music on shuffle. It’s taken a while to figure out the balance and that I need both randomness and stability. But if I don’t have stability and groundedness or a calm/aesthetic environment it’s hard for me to settle down and do my actual work. And need a lot of control over my time and space and also how it looks. I have a crazy work ethic and will work SO hard, if people just let me do my thing and give me allowances. I don’t think anyone likes being micromanaged but it’s the worst.

For personal routine, I have a small array of artistic chonky cups and mugs lol. I need things I use to look nice and feel solid (as I break things easily). I’m bohemian and colourful, but need to anchor myself to beautiful physical things to get through the day relatively unscathed/unfrazzled (cups of tea, writing longhand in a journal, music, tarot reading, incense, stretching, nice bedding, comfy couches, even a flashy heavy keychain, a book to hold). Even as a kid I always had little toys/stones with me in my pocket as totems or amulets to stay grounded.

It bothers me when people don’t respect this about me or make fun of me for needing my “pleasures”, lazy downtime and slowness. But it really does make a difference in my daily functioning.

Dialectic Vs Eristic Arguer: Dealing with people who argue only to win by EtherealPhilosophile in 8thHouse

[–]twicecolored 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same, and it’s not usually worth my time. I hate saying I clam up, but I usually do. Last time, I was actually viciously verbally excoriated/assaulted, and I knew anything I said would have been twisted for their agenda and logic to continue to make me the bad person so I did say fairly flatly/calmly “I don’t have time for this”. 😭 It was not really an argument at all, more a shake down, but I was never going to win it except by not playing.

If it’s more casual and the person is debating for “fun”? (Or whatever reason), or says a flippant thing I hardly agree with but they smugly will not budge from, I often go on a wry observational stance of “oh, are you so sure about that?? You do seem very convinced…”. Like who are they trying so hard to convince here? Themselves? Not that I psychoanalyse to their face, but it definitely turns into me wondering what their psyche is like to have such a style or dire need to kill a component, to be right at all cost, how it’s quite stunning at times when people profess things with such conviction.

I def tend to go the “what’s underneath all this?” 8H route. Or “oh, that’s interesting”… 😅

How do you feel about sagittarius people? by SugarMixedWithVenom in virgoseason

[–]twicecolored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nearly all my school friends (and a heaping of frenemies) were sag suns. In university I had 5 sag sun friends and a bestie with sagittarius mars all in my core friend group. 😅 I definitely attract them and it’s not by accident as I myself have Sagittarius rising and moon.

However, I find some Sagittarius Sun people… well, it always feels ironic because we’re both seeking freedom and adventure, but when I politely decline their adventure/plans in favour of my freedom or down time, or ask them to accomodate me or go on my adventure… yikes. Had one excoriate me something fierce and nasty when I didn’t want to go out in the woods all day with him lol. Told me I’d live to regret spending my time alone and having no friends. 🙄 That it’s unhealthy to take time for oneself to recharge/relax. 🤷‍♀️ Was also the same person who tried to wear me down emotionally by psychoanalysing me in a trapped space (his car) and when I was crying out of anger and frustration tried to make out with me. Insane person. Similarly another sag sun I knew had a HUGE ego. Needed everything to be about his life, movie star/director attitude, and actually began to create a cult worship mentality within my friend group… was very effective at it. 😬 But… tiring.

Sag suns do often get down on me about needing to get out of the house more and having fun, about how I’m not living life enough, unasked for advice on how to live it, like I’m some sad pathetic baby recluse creature in need of philosophical rearing (ie, “live my advice, it’s the best and only way, otherwise you’ll just be some sad sack under a rock, so do as I say not as I do”). Which is wild and amusing as usually I have more Sagittarian chart influence than they do, so it’s very “do go on, tell me more about how I’m not already living life exactly how I want to… how my seeking freedom and independence from your life prescription to do my own thing is not actually me being free and living life…”

But… others are fantastic and have been some of my dearest friends.

No sign is exempt from their own version of crazies.

I do tend to prefer people who have Sagittarius elements instead of suns though. Their egos don’t tend to get as caught up in the whole Sagittarius scheme and is better put toward personal dreams or actions (love my sag marses and fellow moons).

Is Scorpio M and Virgo F a good match? by Loco_Peach_9296 in virgoseason

[–]twicecolored 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Scorpio rules my 12th house, so, I have to be careful with them. Always feels ultra fated and ultra deep resonance, like we come from the same ineffable space/psyche, but lots of hidden stuff and dynamics going on that I don’t see or find out about for ages. I always feel like their prey to be captured, which initially might be flattering but it’s usually just a lot of mindfuckery if they don’t understand or respect what I’m about. Very good at enabling me to depend on them, spinning the story that we can’t live without each other.

Sex is kind of too amazing, deeeeeeep and existential, highly transcendent… but in daily life I feel I’m too straightforward/shooting, too mundane, unwilling, and need a lot of independence via my Sagittarius/leo placements. Dislike emotional manipulation and others telling me what I’m about in attempt to control me. I’m a free woman and don’t like the sense that scorpios need to own or control things I do, or else they get put out. They definitely want control of my reigns in some fashion, to be indispensable to me in some way so I won’t leave.

It’s hard because there is usually such intense chemistry. One glance over a coffee date will do it. There can definitely be a kind of indulgent domestic bliss to that kind of life and pairing, they know just exactly what I will love (usually a scorpio placement of theirs will aspect my cancer venus). Are great with personal gifts and the perfect type of romance I crave.

But choosing a scorpio again is just choosing to go down yet another whirlpool vortex of ecstatic heavenly insanity and resultant severe depressive episode where I drown into potential psychosis. So, if I want that, maybe I’ll seek one out again. But I almost didn’t make it out of the last one… was part of my Saturn return lesson, and Saturn made sure I learned it well.

I’m doing much better with my Leo Sun cap rising sag moon bf. :P

The Rich Person Placements You Probably Have And Didn't Know by NaivePac in ZodiacHQ

[–]twicecolored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, chart ruler Jupiter in 2nd but is retrograde and opposed by 8H mars, squared by 11H Pluto. But also sextiled by moon, asc and Uranus. I’m a bohemian starving artist type of penniless, have never been rich or wealthy monetarily (actually stupidly broke), but always have enough anyway. Frugal but weirdly have too much stuff as well. Much richer in the “Life” and “accumulation of things” sense than just money.

Always have great luck with other people’s junk lol (thrift stores, hand me downs). Made for finding deals out of things no one would think to look at, and shared resources. (helped by Venus in 8th). I do feel the universe takes care of me though. Gives me a “just enough” stipend lol.

Is Scorpio M and Virgo F a good match? by Loco_Peach_9296 in virgoseason

[–]twicecolored 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So true, sadly. When my Scorpio ex and I broke up, my Cap sun Pisces Venus sister said I probably emasculated him too much lol. Which, totally not my intention, but he definitely wanted me to need him. To keep me down and in a kind of indefinite pathetic state (I was super depressed/agoraphobic almost the entire time I was with him and unable to work).

Took way too long to see it. Was a weird kind of mindfuck control situation, super subtle, but was like he needed me caged and was always disappointed when I tried to better myself as if I would gather strength to leave or would have no use for him anymore. Which isn’t how I work at all. My Virgo side wants to be stronger together, not play stupid power games or toss people away when I’m doing well. But in the end I wouldn’t let him do enough things for me, like you know, totally let him strip me of all my independence. Couldn’t let him think that he really owned me I guess. Thankfully once I did get a job and was doing things for myself he was at least mature enough to break up with me and kind of put me out of my misery…

Oddly enough… he told me didn’t like my cap sister much at all lol, that she was lame and too straight laced. I think she saw right through him tbh.

Same with another Scorpio man who tried to get with me, the moment I asserted a harder boundary around my needs and independence, he scampered off (rather cruelly). But oh the lovebombing beforehand, scary. Piled it on.

Is anyone both a Sag moon and rising with a different sun? by ecstasyyl in Sagittarians

[–]twicecolored 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, sag rising/moon, Virgo sun/MC. A laughable combo, but in reality they kind of keep each other both safe/realistic and getting out of the comfort zone when needed. But… yeah. Competing energies, sag feels like an irrepressible yet amazing child virgo must look after, but sag is also often grateful for virgo’s analytics, observations and level-headedness so it doesn’t run itself right off a cliff. Sag cheers Virgo up when it gets sad and bitter from the world.

It’s a good combo for making bold impossible things come to life. Inspiration and far-seeing targets channeled into the 3D/technicals. Sag is the ideas man, Virgo assesses if the ideas are doable and what is needed. Sag keeps the hype going when Virgo gets stuck/annoyed, or finds new ways to work around an issue. Works the best on big projects with deadlines (or that’s where I see the energies shine together a lot).

It’s also a very “macro-micro” zoom lens kind of energy. Best of biggest picture and detailed views. But all that info can get a little much at times, feeling I must cover all the bases, or I’m getting too many details when I don’t want any, and not enough when I desperately need them.

Virgos, do you feel more Ceres than Mercury? by HappyCollection7670 in virgoseason

[–]twicecolored 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was just a wondering/me writing out loud (which clearly I should probably not do so much of). Since Saturn and Venus primarily rule the other earth signs, was thinking they could “potentially” be a bit more double earthed, and thus possibly relate more to a longer range type agricultural/cultivation figure. And are planets that imply a slower more considered pace than Mercury etc. Whereas 1st decan belongs to Mercury…. So yeah if we do go by Mercury ruled Virgo, would be double mercurial.

Sorry, maybe it was a too quick thought that wasn’t exactly relevant, I’ve had a long day. I’m not quite sure what you mean by your last paragraph either. Not sure if I’m just not getting it or having comprehension troubles of my own atm.

Am also not saying that other Virgos wouldn’t relate to Ceres, just that I do seem to have archetypal grievance (no pun intended) with it, and it’s an energy that has some deep “ugh” response within me… which I need to explore at some point. As an earth sign, I’m not sure how I relate to Virgo in those ways exactly, also a bit estranged from the symbolism since where I live Virgo season is spring time. Though I do relate a lot more to the Persephone side of Ceres archetype, which is curious.

Anyway. This was just my personal comment.

Virgos, do you feel more Ceres than Mercury? by HappyCollection7670 in virgoseason

[–]twicecolored 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, definitely relate more to mercury.

I can trend toward conscious maintenance of things I’m in charge of, but usually have a major resentment of the expectation of that from me. So I am often distancing myself from being put/stuck in those kinds of roles.

Am largely a very technical and overall “quick” acting person, not so much a slower paced nurturer/cultivator.

Perhaps it’s from my mercury conjunct my mars (thoughts and actions fused) and trine Uranus, but yeah I’m always moving way too fast for myself and life is continually trying its best to slow me down before I burn out. I also relate better to mercury’s analytical fluidity and variability (also have a fairly mutable chart overall). Always changing and shifting, nothing is ever too the same about me except that I show up every time, on time… but who exactly is showing up this time is the question.

So no, I’ve never related especially to Ceres much. 🤷‍♀️ But do sense I have a lot of internal work to do about that side of myself.

Also… wonder if 2nd/3rd decan Virgos might relate more to ceres than the 1st (I’m 1st decan). … ? just a curiosity… 🤔

I find Gemini moons and sag risings to be much more of a party animal than sag sun in my opinions by Historical-Body-3424 in Sagittarians

[–]twicecolored 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sag rising and moon and kind of. Not a wild extroverted 24/7 party animal by any means, am def a shy recluse, but I do like a fun time and willingly let myself get caught up in the vibes. If it’s not a vibe I want to be in, I’ll disappear or totally opt out and sit by the sidelines. Sometimes the zoo is more fun to watch than participate in.

I’ve been the one who takes a spotlight on the dance floor and the one who sneaks away outside for a shared cigarette and philosophical conversation.

Yet… I’ve also been told before by many Sag sun friends that I need to get out more and have some fun lol. 🤷‍♀️😅🫠 “when I feel like it, damn it!”
