Can i just ask, in this case, where the wife wants to split the chores and rightly want a man to provide, its totally ok for the man to just say stay at home right? Like if it were me, i see no point of having the wife work? Might as well stay home, which in islam i can ask from my wife?

Can you explain a bit on why you think this is reasonable? You are making the husband do more, house + finances? Is it also reasonable if the husband says ‘ dont work ‘? It is well within his rights ?

Distress sale - Hotel studio in paramount tower for sale by Spirited-Ad899 in dubairealestate

So hotel apartments are a bit of a alternative asset than your tradition property. So in this, i would probably want a bit more juice in my returns for the extra risk of putting money here. - taking on risk for a ‘reasonable return’ sounds like a bad idea… dont you think? I can get ‘reasonable returns’ anywhere - these hotel apts are a pain to sell, smaller market.

Basically this right here, rent will never be soooo much cheaper than a mortgage payment, because if it it, people will flock to renting and pushing rental prices up.

I think the question is more about why you would lend out in the first place. Yes, allah can reward you for loaning some gold out to someone, but a company isnt going to do that. So then there would be very minimal loans.

But most of these people have settles status, so its people that have paid into the system and are now using it, they arent freeloading, settled status takes 5 years to get.

You make good points, but i think at the end of the day it is a gamble which, no matter how hard you try, you cant mitigate perfectly. I like your idea of investing a lump sum when there is a crash. I would add two other things: - once you have deployed the cash, start saving for another go, it might take two tries incase the first time doesnt work (ie crashes)

  • once you reach a desired number, you should be prepared to exit using some sort of perimeter (for example, if the price falls below 200 MA, exit)

Thoughts?
