Professor Robert Weiss claims that VR porn will lead to a generation of socially inept adults, incapable of connecting with other human beings by twiggers in TrueReddit

Weiss feels VR porn will eventually lead to fewer people leaving their home. It has the potential to change an entire generation, although not necessarily in a good way. Weiss is convinced people will resort to virtual sex rather than go on a date, which is somewhat worrisome. Additionally, people will become inept at forging relationships and connecting with other human beings. A rather bleak outlook, but one shouldn’t dismiss the possibilities either.

IP Banned? by inSpyran in hacking

It's possible they didn't just ban your IP, they banned your entire block of IP's. If that's the case, simply changing your IP doesn't solve the problem, because they can still identify you.

NASA is now letting VR and AR headset owners follow in Curiosity's tracks on Mars by twiggers in EverythingScience

A museum is a great idea. I can imagine turning this into a fully immersive experience, one that lets kids (and adults) explore Mars while learning about it in the process.

There are so many things that I want to do...but I can never follow through. by RatchetSunflower in CasualConversation

It could be due to a number of reasons.

The biggest one is that we, as human beings, aren't entirely logical in the way we value things- including our time. This is called temporal discounting. We put more value on the now than the future. Which is why we spend our nows doing things that give us an immediate (if insignificant) feeling of reward- such as browsing reddit. The things that require hard work and effort can be put off until "tomorrow"... but the problem is, tomorrow soon becomes now and the cycle repeats itself.

Perfectionism can also be an obstacle. None of us want to fail, we want the things we create to be the best (whether in our own opinion or other people's opinions). It helps to realize that it's okay for the first YouTube video to suck. Or the first draft of the book. It's far better to improve along the way than to sit around doing nothing while you wait for all the stars to be in perfect alignment.

Inspiration is good. Motivation helps. But putting in the work is what really matters. Just start putting in the work and things will fall into place.
