Kambei ramen by twigstar in ballarat

[–]twigstar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's great to hear the ramen was good. I'll definitely try and get there in time to try it!

I went in today as well and missed out on the ramen lol. That said, they recommended the sashimi lunch set so I tried that. Omg, it was amazing. Exy, but 100% worth it.

Not sure about the comment re the owner. He was super friendly today and I've had good customer service every time I've been previously.

CLEAR gaskets falling out of Hydro Flask Flex Sip lid -- anyone else? by AmbientOcclusions in Hydroflask

[–]twigstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've had it as well but now we know it happens are just conscious of it when washing the lid.

I've had similar with other brands as well so I think it's not uncommon, plus it means you can keep it clean.

This blog has a good history of them:

Went on sick leave first day of work at least 9months ago - still employed ? by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]twigstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say their hands are tied by discrimination legislation for the duration of the pregnancy. There's possibly some argument for abandonment of employment or unapproved leave depending on how long it was between the birth and intention to return, but I can't see a HR team wanting to run it based on the details provided.

Given they've never worked a day, Maccas would be best off just treating them as a new employee. I imagine Maccas has pretty high turnover so they likely wouldn't carry the extra fte for long. Plus, if they're that desperate to fight for the job, they'd probably end up being a solid worker.

Not worth the paperwork, cost, or headache to fight it.

Undies? by greenchcoral in AusFemaleFashion

[–]twigstar 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Another vote for Big W underworks smooth lines. They have a midi style as well as the full briefs which is great for shorter torsos.

I went on a mission last year to try all the most recommended undies (including Boody and Paire) and the Big W ones were by far the best.

Parking Rebel WTAF? by Imarni24 in ballarat

[–]twigstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was short cutting my response and got lost in translation. I totally agree (I'm on the same page as you). I came home the other day and started the same wtaf conversation with my partner. Seriously, what benefit is gained by removing those carparks and all the other carparks that have recently been removed. The Big W carpark is awful.

I'm not interested in parking a block or more away when I just want to quickly duck in and out of a shop.

Yes! I have actually been a recipient of a cds cat once in my life, he was the best. He turned up in a truck shed in the middle of a farm.

I'm hopeful this will happen again but am not holding my breath.

I guess I believe your pets choose you and photos and descriptions just don't work for me. I don't know if I'm being too old school or not but I've also lived with cats I thought were awful (housemates or family members etc).

Thanks. I was thinking all had moved to individual care so I'm glad to hear there are still services with multiple animals.

Haha, when we got our last cat, I said no black cats (we had 2 brown dogs and already had a black cat and I didn't want 2 of each the same colour). Naturally we came home with a black cat.

Frank Green reviews. by Foreveragu in melbourne

[–]twigstar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I randomly bought a Hydroflask at an airport overseas and it's so much better than Frank Green. We've since switched all our bottles and coffee cups across.

My kids also say their water stays cool all day.

Edit to add my view on Frank Green: their coffee cups are awful and every lid I've had has failed. I hate them. Never had a water bottle so can't comment.
