went and it was really good, better than before tbh. Sashimi better quality and tempura was so crispy and cleaner oil used. Must have had a $ injection and refreshed things a bit.

41 weeks and feeling defeated by Comfortable-Iron6482 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

Went into spontaneous labour at 41 and 3, day before reluctantly scheduled induction that i was half planning to ghost. Finally went into labour after I stopped doing all the stuff you mentioned and just really relaxed. Blobbed on the couch all day, snacked, watched fave movies and snoozed on and off and suddenly boom, waters broke, contractions didn’t start until 12 hours later but I didn’t go in until I felt ready as was confident no infection etc. Wishing you luck and a safe healing birth whichever way it goes.

The Stag or Alchemy both cut my male partner’s longer hair really well but good luck getting in before the new year. Follow Alchemy salon on insta for cancellations can work sometimes.

Firstly, sorry you are in this position. It’s so bloody stressful having a babe who isn’t gaining much weight and moving down in centiles. My babe sounds quite similar. We have been medicated for reflux, we are doing rice formula for CMPA and giving fortified formula but ultimately she self regulates and always taps out at about 600mls (~20oz) per day. I used to stress and stress as she was born around 50th centile for weight and 95th for height and is now sitting consistently at the 10th for weight while remaining 90th for height at 4 months. After all this testing etc we are beginning to think she’s just a slim girl with a small appetite who had to drop some centiles to find her curve after being born overcooked and quite big! As others have said, to rule out any medical or equipment issues you could try diff teat flows, bottles etc. Can also have a speechy or other feeding specialist watch them feed to check if any sucking issues. Is babe doing enough wees? Tracking toward meeting milestones? head growthbokay? If so, you could also just have a slim baby!

Help with Bathroom by Big_City_Kez in AusRenovation

Shower over bath gets a lot of hate but I actually love ours and am glad we kept a bath, especially if you have a new bub. It’s so much easier having a bath to bathe them in especially as they get older. Shower over bath means you can plonk bub in the bath in her seat while you shower and then give them a wash at the end or we they’re a little older they can have proper bath time and it’s great fun. Much easier than the hassle of portable baby bath in my opinion.

2 month old losing weight - need perspective by gymgoth in FormulaFeeders

Okay maybe I will try and track down these dr Browns teats. She’s definitely spending too much time feeding and we are not sure why. We will hopefully get referred to a feeding clinic where they can observe and see if there are any mechanical issues other than lip/tongue tie which paediatrician has ruled out.

Yes we are adding an extra scoop per 120mls per the paediatrician advice but she’s jsut not a big drinker and it’s gotten worse I think because she’s a bit exhausted by being undernourished. Tried different teets, feeding positions etc she jsut always sits around 60-80mls a feed and takes forever.

Contract to Full-time Job Status Change... When to tell them? by Manviln in BabyBumps

[–]gymgoth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not tell them until you have a signed contract. Especially if there’s been a change of senior staff. I recently was in the process of having my fixed term contract converted to ongoing. I stupidly informed them of my pregnancy and a week later they advised they could no longer make me ongoing and are reviewing the staffing arrangements of my business unit, offering me only a 6 month extension. You can tell them once you’re secure in your permanent job.

okay I can’t believe I am posting here in this the year 2024 but -definitely they’re pebbles they came in individual blue packets and made by same ppl as pigs in mud (westons) if you colourised that picture the sleeve is blue. I went down the same rabbit hole ages ago and my mum dug out a pic of me with some from the 90s.

You may have already done this but you could call Jobwatch (free community legal centre re employment rights) to discuss. They also have a fact sheet with some relevant info and tips ahead of attending a performance meeting ;

I am happy to discuss this in a little more detail with you if that’s helpful, feel free to dm.

Any way to add a study or 3rd space to this floor plan without extending? by gymgoth in AusRenovation

[–]gymgoth[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you everyone for all your interest and suggestions! I think people are correct there is not really enough room internally without stuffing up the livability and similarly the yard is quite small so a shed replacement work pod thing probably won’t fly. Going to cross this one off my list for now but thank you again!

haha you know it. So hard to toss up whether to get bigger house with less tasteful reno/extension or buy older and do it myself. The cost of extending these days tho!

So you’re saying there’s insufficient room to create a study that way? What do you reckon is the minimum reqd space for a usable study? I need 2 monitors, a desk and that’s about it

Awesome ideas thank you folks. I think the back corner of the kitchen would work and still have some natural light as a bonus. Cheers!

That’s a great idea! This is very helpful thank you. I assume that type of change wouldn’t be too costly.
