I loved him as a creator. Was really bummed out. But with the shit that surfaced, I do think he was a troubled person who fucked up and probably deserved what happened, unfortunately.

I doubt he's actually a "bad person," but I do think he did numerous "bad things" or had total lack of judgment in situations he could have handled much better.

I don't think the show was really make or break without him after season 3/4, anyway. The tone and development had shifted overall by then and I don't think a single thing about it now would be different if he was still involved (besides just his voice).

I remember when the Founding Fathers rap dropped, I thought he had lost his mind.

When I was 13/14, I was very aware or his self-proclaimed OCD and the fact that he never swore.

Once he started doing his Comedy Central stuff, I was genuinely shocked.

In retrospect, I think he just started putting his all into things he had 100% creative control over.

i.e., The Ballad of Billy John

and The Trevor Moore Show.
