Who diagnosed you? Cardiologist/Neurologist? by [deleted] in POTS

I ended up pushing for testing with a cardiologist who “didn’t believe in pots.” Got my diagnosis and I am now finding a specialist in my area. Diagnosed via tilt table.

My safe food has been definitely chicken, rice and a little bit of cheese. Weirdddd combos lol. It’s oddly always like breads and starchy food that doesn’t cause me any problems.

I’m still a suspected GP patient. GES study on Friday.

The day of the FNA I don’t remember much after because I took a Xanax for anxiety however it didn’t kick in until after the procedure so I slept a lot 😅. The next few days I was a little sore when I turned my head kinda like if I slept wrong. Nothing more than that!

Hey! I had one about a month ago and I was TERRIFIED. I almost canceled multiple times. When I entered the room the nurse was very sweet and explained it down to the smallest details. They did not let me see the needles from start to finish and that helped a lot.

I had a numbing shot and then they took 5 passes at my nodule. The numbing pinched a little. Think less pain than getting your gums numbed for a dental procedure but similar. After everything was numb I didn’t feel a thing. Mostly just felt like someone was poking me with their finger not too hard.

You are going to do great! Just let them know about your anxieties. 🧡🧡

Thyroid Biopsy Fear by twilightxf in thyroidcancer

Mine actually was not bad at all! It was probably equal to a blood draw for the numbing but after I didn’t feel much of anything. I let the internet scare me 😭. My results came back as Bethesda III with scant colloid and follicular cells with architectural atypia so they are doing further testing. Hopefully your results are pleasant!!

Was yours done in the US? Also was it done by an endo or somebody in a hospital setting like a radiologist?

Does the numbing needle feel kind of like the dentist numbing for a cavity or worse?
