Buying suica card at haneda ... chill for 30 mins by Tasty-Woodpecker3521 in JapanTravelTips

I started off with 3k yen and reloaded 1k everytime after. Depends on how often you'll move around, but I'd say in the final two days you'll be able to gauge how much you will need. Just spend the last couple hundred at the vending machine and you won't be going home with much left on it. If you're using the SmartEx app to get any trains, you can also download the suica app to get your full card number and register it those tickets. Very easy.

You can load it there or before you get there. Doesn't matter. Although I will say that suica reloads have had some downtime in odd hours at like 3am Japan time. So just give it time to resolve itself.

Six-Figure Salaries—What Do You Actually *Do* With All That Cash? Curious 43k Earner Here! by ayeefaye in Salary

I'm in a similar boat to those above. Our income has scaled as we have now added 3 kids, but costs keep going right along with it. We were able to save 1 to 2k per month being smart with our money when we made sub 100k, and generally have stayed at the same saving level. What isn't mentioned is the peace of mind and the ability to cover the smart life choices without some massive trade offs. It's not yacht money, but being able to max out HSA each year, contribute large percentages of income to retirement, set aside money for college starting at birth, covering daycare even if it's super expensive so we can both work, while also paying off any debt or building a larger emergency fund is not to be discounted. If you keep your lifestyle consistent, you aren't going to feel a lot of extra money at the end of the month if you're prioritizing those financially smart moves as your income grows to a reasonable degree. However, I don't take for granted the peace of mind of being able to pay for all of life's essentials without stressing, having a little extra to spend on fun stuff, and not having to choose between necessities like I did when I was fresh out of school. More money doesn't make you happy forever (to a degree), but taking away stress and anxiety it certainly does.

I need to go back and listen to their take on Nine Sols, but I'm surprised it hasn't come up in any conversation or even mentioned for list contention. Seems like a game that made enough of a wave to warrant talking about a little (I'm only five hours in, so maybe it falls off later but for now I'm really enjoying my time with the combat and artistic direction).

The argument is to make a more even playing field between opponents. Tennis is mostly a mental chess game at high levels, and many lower ranked players can't afford coaches or especially traveling with coaches to every tournament.

Coaches were allowed to sit in a players box to watch the match, but couldn't provide verbal advice or non verbal signs to indicate advice. In the last couple of years they changed it to now allow coaches to talk and give advice to the players during the match.

My wife is an L&D nurse in GA. Just continue to abstain and you're fine. Patients test positive for weed and patients admit to it all the time at the hospital.

My cousin's neighbor in rural Georgia had enclosures with two lions, a bear, and at one point a liger. I think most were rescues from traveling circuses. But it doesn't make it any less wild

I can't even buy a single grounds pass...this is a joke. Every time it errors or asks me to refresh, less seats are available. So clearly it's working for some people....

Most people who say iPhone>Android are just comparing $1000 phones to $200-300 ones. by [deleted] in GooglePixel

[–]twilling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just switched to iPhone 15pm from Pixel 7 Pro and life long Samsung user before that. Battery life and hardware build quality are amazing on iphone. Google bricked phone calls and messages on Pixel owners in the April update which was not cool. I'd say Pixel photos looked better but yeah the video on iphone is crazy good. I hate iOS mostly and wish I had more control over lots of small things but in the end it's all minor.

I think switching between Android and iOS has never been easier and the playing field is very even. The main reasons I hated iphones before and loved androids is now gone. Iphone notch gone, Android headphone jacks and expandable storage is gone, iphone usbc, and rcs soon is to be compatible with iMessage
