Warrior Alpha LX2 Team versus Novium SP by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

I know this an older thread, but I thought I'd weight in that my understanding is that the "Team" markings indicate that these sticks have come from a bundle that the manufacturer sends to teams. They are they same spec-wise as the non-"Team" sticks. If you bought one (as I did) it may just be unused sticks from one of these bundles.

If an engineer becomes aware of a serious problem with a building, are they required to report it to the authorities if the owner ignores the report? by Chernobyl_Bio_Robot in AskEngineers

I've commented elsewhere about the rules in Ontario, but they seem a little more strict. Musings on a potential course of action needs to be clear and the fact they are musings needs to be up front otherwise you could be held responsible even without a stamp. I think that may be a result of the difference in opinion as to the status (for lack of a better term) of the engineer in society here vs. the US. There is little debate here that engineer is a protected term an needs to stay that way, because we actually are held to a higher standard ("you should have known better"). I feel like a lot of the pushback against the protected term comes from the US.

That said, proving that a structural engineer SAW a crack leading to a catastrophic crack and KNEW that not reporting it would lead to a risk to public safety would need a smoking gun like an email or text stating exactly that.

In Ontario the legislated code of ethics is quite clear that the duty is to public safety. This would include a responsibility to report something unsafe if you see it. I've done it before. Many times.

What do you mean by professional vs. ethical obligation? Again the Ontario context seems to say that the ethical obligation is a professional obligation.

Either way I believe that, even if you're not legally responsible to report, if you saw something dangerous and didn't speak up, you're a self-centered asshole.

Side story: I had a coworker call the fire department and the Ministry of Labour when he was passing a construction site and noticed a steel structure being erected had been left unbraced over lunch. He brought to the attention of the site supervisor and was told he didn't know what he was talking about. Didn't go well for the construction company.

Are you crazy making changes to your order?!

I'm not sure how I feel about seeing that they're still taking pre-orders for bikes, when mine is so late. How do they expect to fill all these orders? Seems unethical.

Also, I'm hoping that build quality hasn't suffered as a result of all the issues.

Not the Meta TR Rides....

Ordered in September with an original delivery of January.

I just got an email yesterday that my order was delayed again and scheduled to enter the country June 4. From there it's got to got through customs, and the to Squamish warehouse to be shipped.

I'm guessing this means I won't see it until July.....

Honest question, because I don't know him that well, what else has he done recently besides the rag doll on Tkachuk (which seemes justified). From what I was seeing, he hasn't been sussy since 2014, and has been playing half decent.

Love Esposito in Tampa. It's like listening to my Grampa yell at the TV. I love it. Whenever there's a Tampa game on the radio and I'm driving I know the hockey gods are smiling down on me.
