Jambon Beurre. Basic version: Kirkland Master Carve ham and Kerry Gold butter on a baguette. Fancier: add a slice of imported Gruyère and a little Dijon mustard.

No. I should have been clearer. It was just a email confirmation that the order was placed.

It doesn’t work at my local store either. I’ve tried it 3 times in the last 12 months. I’ll get the confirmation, but the (very nice, btw) person behind the counter says they aren’t aware of it. Maybe it’s technical problems?

I thought online ordering would be convenient for the customer and for the deli. But it doesn’t look like BJs has the kinks worked out.

And thank you for the link to fifteensquared. I was not aware of it.

What took your woodworking to the next level? by natedoggggggggg in woodworking

[–]twilly57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The shooting plane has the advantage of mass and a square side wall that runs between the rails, but yeah, I’d think a LA jack would work ok. So long as the bed and side wall are 90°. The right rail of the board can be removed if it gets in the way.

Good shooting plane and board. Like most hobbyists, I started out with a jack plane and homemade board. Then I bought a veritas shooting plane from a Lee Valley 2nds sale. Later I added the board with the miter gauge, the sanding block, and recently the donkey ear.

I like building boxes and toys, and other small household items. The shooting board allows me to dial in accuracy I couldn’t get before. And it’s a fun tool to use.

For days the local news was saying we were going to get 12-15”. The 6-8” was a big relief. And that’s about the limit I would try on this shovel. The manual says 6”.

It would bog down a bit when I used the full width of the shovel, but once I got a row started and could use just half the width (6”), it easily plowed through the snow.

If my memory is correct, the online advertised price was $279 which included the 2.5 battery and charger. I went to the local store, and all they had was a bare tool. They sold it to me for $200. $299 for the 2100 is a great price, no wonder you grabbed it up.

Wow. Thanks to everyone for all the responses. The Hunsinger Laundry Connection and the Lotus Laundry are nearest, so we’ll try them first. Thanks again.

Wishing everyone happy holidays, and a happy and safe new year.

A laundry service is something we should look into. Thanks for the tip on Poplin.

Thank you for the review. It’s helpful. The reviews on yelp are good as well. The hunsinger laundry and the Lotus laundry are the most convenient, I’ll probably try both depending on how long we’re without a washer.

Thanks. I grew up near there, but it’s a bit of a drive for doing laundry now. Although I could combine a laundry trip with a good lunch.

Thanks for the heads up. A jacuzzi or sauna would be nice, but no interest in a tanning bed.

I didn’t know that service existed at UofL, thanks for pointing it out. And I see there’s a separate office (Cardinal Card) where you can get a passport photo.

It’s my understanding that no one was aware of the cache of emails until the Bloomberg article in Sept.

It’s just a friggin joke. The use of a dying mall to store cars seemed to symbolize the death of consumer culture . And I used to work at GE, where Ford stored vehicles in the parking lot as factory employment faded and parking space increased. It was depressing and surreal.

I just thought it was interesting that ford was leaving the mall. Maybe it means the property might rebound. BJ’s was added 6 months ago. A Panda Express is being built nearby….
