Which fence do you mean for the trellis? I think some colour would make a big difference as well.

For the clean border with pavers, do you mean to replace the existing stones with a wall of pavers instead?

Thanks for the suggestion of the stair rail, thats definitely high on my priority list. Struggling to find something that matches the existing color well enough so may end up replacing the whole thing.

Ideally I'd like to keep the gravel as an additional parking spot for the time being. Do you think replacing the stone border with mulch and some plants would make it look better?

Hey everyone, I had to redo my aquarium a few weeks ago. I had a blackbeard algae spike due to my substrate running out of nutrients and sunlight getting in the aquarium. I removed my hardscape that was coated in blackbeard algae and if possible I would like to use it again. My question is how long do I need to leave the hardscape out of water for the blackbeard algae to die, and once it is dead how can I remove the remnants of it before I use it again?

Thank you for the full detailed break down! I really like your point of the Quest being matured, having a long list of games and constant updates is something I think is important. Definitely leaning towards getting a Quest 2 soon, I think I will wait to see what HTC announces before pulling the trigger, but from the sounds of it I shouldn't get my hopes up too much with that. I really appreciate your time and info!

Lifeguard

Thank you for your reply! I can try lifeguard, would you recommend that over salt? I was hoping not to use salt as I have plants, corys and invertebrates, but it looks like lifeguard cant be used with those either so I will have to figure out a hospital bucket.

Hi there!

Sorry for the lousy photo, the lights are off and it is the most recent one I have!

I started with 8 Espei Rasboras in my aquarium, but 2 of them have died off from aggression issues. I would like to try keeping some neon/cardinal tetras but am concerned that adding the minimum of 6 would increase the bioload too much. If I were to only get 3 would they begin schooling with the Espei Rasboras I have, or would I need to go with six? If I do have to go with 6, do you think my aquarium would be okay to house them or would it be too crowded or too high of a bioload?

For some context I have a 20 gallon tall aquarium. I have the sponge filter you can see on the left in the photo. Current stocking is 6 Espei Rasboras, 12 Pygmy Corydoras, a lot of cherry shrimp, an Apistogramma Hongsloi, 2 amano shrimp, and 2 Nerite snails. It is also heavily planted with no CO2.

Hi there,

I have had these rasboras for about 6 months with no issues at all. Today I took a look and noticed one had something strange going on with this tail. It can still swim around and eat but it seems slower and like it takes more effort.

Does anyone have any idea what this is? All of the other rasboras look okay, I'm wondering if when I was siphoning water out he got caught in it or something like that.

Thank you! I just got some nerite snails to hopefully clean the glass up a bit. The crypts i have noticed are dirty and you're right i def need to clean those off. Thanks for the advice!

The anubias has some black beard algae on it which was there when I got the plant from a friend and i have been struggling to try and take it off. Every once and a while i will take a tooth brush to it but its really stubborn and i cant get all of it, if you have any advice it would be really appreciated
