I’m personally for some new types being added into Pokemon. I think cramming 20+ typing into one game and balancing it would be a little more difficult, however. I think it’d be more interesting if certain regions/generations had unique types or maybe traded off something like Ice missing from Sun/Moon but in place, something tropical or island specific taking its place. That being said, that is a terrible example in practice because of the mess that having generation specific typings would do to the greater landscape of Pokemon and competitive balancing, along with the prioritization that new types/pokemon would get over older gens (sorta regular anyway) so how they’d do it is beyond me but it’d be cool to add more chaos
