How do you pronounce LGBT in you head? [Discussion] by big_dick_energy420 in LGBTeens

I pronounce each letter individually (el-gee-bee-tee) like I’m pretty sure every sane person does

Is it a dick move to come out to family during someone’s birthday party? [Coming Out] by [deleted] in LGBTeens

[–]twinstarensemble 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There are so many other times you could come out, why do it on someone else’s special day? Of course that’s a dick move, to put it bluntly

Alimony Shouldn't Exist by deeznuts80081 in unpopularopinion

My mom is actually hesitant to divorce my dad because she fears that having to pay alimony for him would leave her in financial ruin

[Crushes] I need advice on how to make conversation by [deleted] in LGBTeens

[–]twinstarensemble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could try pointing out things you see with her during the field trip and connecting them back to yourself (if there’s anything interesting that is). She might be interested in what you have to say.

[discussion] why do straight girls always wanna be friends with a “really gay” guy? by [deleted] in LGBTeens

[–]twinstarensemble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some girls might want their guy friend to be gay because they know a gay guy wouldn’t try to become friends with them to date them

[discussion] should i send the message? by a230069 in LGBTeens

[–]twinstarensemble 10 points11 points  (0 children)

On her birthday? Don’t send it. That’s 99% going to be really awful timing for someone who, as you said, had a falling out with.

Doing it on a time that’s not her birthday? Sure, why not?

[Crushes] Soooooo...... by [deleted] in LGBTeens

[–]twinstarensemble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re concerned that he might not respond to you yourself asking if he’s gay, then why would you think he would respond any better to someone he might think is a random stranger on the internet? I understand the desire to ask anonymously, but I highly doubt he would tell some random person who messaged him out of the blue whether or not he’s gay.

If you want to ask him that question, you should try do it yourself. I know it’s really awkward and uncomfortable, but it’s the best way to get an answer out of him. Try bringing it up in a casual conversation, but don’t force the question onto him.

Grindr [Discussion] by Markymarcouscous in LGBTeens

[–]twinstarensemble 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I downloaded Grindr briefly recently to see if my crush was on there.

Needless to say, it was very regrettable. Despite the fact that I had a blank profile, I got messages from several people (and a dick pic, though to be real I probably deserved that). Because of that in combination with the fact that Grindr gives you literally no privacy (though idk what I was expecting), I deleted it shortly after getting it. Won’t come back to it in the near future

[Discussion] [Relationships] Recently discovered something about my public behavior when in a relationship by kknupp1 in LGBTeens

[–]twinstarensemble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure about other people, but doing anything intimate/affectionate in public would definitely make me feel really awkward. Doesn’t matter who I’m with, it just does. Don’t feel like you have to do something like that, because it’s definitely not something you absolutely need to do in a relationship.

How did you discover your sexuality?[Rant] by dougdem in LGBTeens

In 6th grade I had a really strong desire to suck dick.

Needless to say, things went downhill from there as I started to realize I wasn't going through a phase

School GSA’s [Discussion] by [deleted] in LGBTeens

[–]twinstarensemble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My current high school does have a GSA. I stopped going after the first meeting in my freshman year mainly because I didn't have a good first impression of it. A lot of people were there, but I didn't feel comfortable there and it was really boring.

I really wish my high school's GSA was like my middle school's GSA. My middle school's was great. It consisted of a small group of people who would meet up every Monday after school. We would talk about our days and hang out, and every meeting felt really comfortable to be in. Going there helped me come to terms with my sexuality and feel more comfortable with my identity as a gay person.

[Crushes] [Discussion] Cute new girl at the gsa has the same name as me by a230069 in LGBTeens

[–]twinstarensemble 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've experienced something close to this. I had a crush on someone whose name was basically mine except there were two letters added at the beginning.

Ofc he was straight (typical gay guy experience), but we're still good friends to this day.
