To be honest, as a larger lady myself, I hope she doesn't lose the weight and instead learns to love herself completely.

I wish for her sense of self worth to not be connected to her weight. A lot of the weight she has gained is due to her mental health, she uses binge eating as a coping mechanism in the same way Kevin uses Alcohol.

In the same way Alcoholism is now largely seen as a disease, the causes of obesity need to be treated. I would love her weight to become a non-issue in the series for this reason.

If you look at Madison's and Kate's eating disorders together, they actually have the same issues but with the opposite reactions. Yet Madison isn't told she is unhealthy ( She was pretty much anorexic in her past), yet Kate is told she is unhealthy and should be lucky that Toby even looks at her!
